"Soaked Jungkook was a sight Jimin never wanted to be parted from."
•••
When Taemin asked him to dance, Jimin didn't hesitate before accepting. He was tired of being mad at him, he was tired of hating him. He knew the older wasn't the only one at fault, yet he had blindly blamed him for all his pain as soon as things went downhill. Jimin wanted to finally be at peace. After all, hatred only hurts his own-self, not the other way around.
Dancing with Taemin was fun, he knew it would be fun because Taemin was a great dancer. Jimin had got to know him through Hoseok, after all. The latter had met him in one of his many dancing classes, so Jimin knew Taemin belonged in the dance world. In all honesty, Jimin belonged in it too, but that is another story.
They had been dancing for a while when Jimin felt someone's eyes on him. He therefore turned his head to see who it was but he came across a scowling Jungkook who wasn't even looking at him. His tongue was pressing the inside of his cheek and he seemed truly annoyed. But Jimin had felt it, he had felt his eyes on him. Could he have been mistaken? Or had the younger averted his gaze as soon as Jimin turned to look at him? Was his annoyed expression due to the fact that Jimin was dancing with Taemin? Jimin's mind was confused when he saw a scoffing Jungkook make his way in a rapid and decisive manner to the door.
"U-um..." Jimin stuttered when he saw Jungkook disappearing behind the door. He wasn't sure what he wanted to say, he just knew he needed to do something. And to do so, he needed to stop dancing with Taemin.
"Is everything alright?" Taemin asked worriedly, looking for Jimin's eyes.
"Y-yeah... I-I just really need to go..." Jimin trailed off, stammering.
After a fraction of second where Taemin saw Jimin's desperate expression, he nodded and took his hands off of Jimin's waist for the latter to be free to leave. Jimin practically ran across the room, opening the door as fast as he could. Therefore he was outside in no time. The icy wind hit him as soon as he stepped a foot outside. And the drops of water started to dampen his hair. He was cold, more like freezing. Jimin immediately buried his hands inside his pockets in an attempt to keep some warmth inside his body.
He looked at one side of the street and then the other, finally finding what he had been looking for. Jungkook's back with his shoulders shrugged and his head low. His silky black hair getting wetter by the second.
"Jungkook!" Jimin yelled.
Jungkook was far, but he needed to make him stop. But why? Why was he doing it? Jimin didn't know what he was expecting from all that. He only knew Jungkook had left after watching him dancing with Taemin so if anyone was able to stop Jungkook, that was him.
Jungkook turned around on his heels as soon as he heard Jimin calling for him and the latter's breath left his body. He couldn't remember how to breathe or think. Soaked Jungkook was a sight Jimin never wanted to be parted from. He wanted to be able to stop time and stay there watching Jungkook forever. But that was obviously not going to happen. Jungkook was already approaching him until he was too close, so close that Jimin thought the younger would hear his heart hammering against his ribcage.
