"Shopping anyone?" Lila states the moment I sit my stuff down on the table. Miranda snickers at the sudden question. Her tray is completely full with roasted chicken wings and a side of mash potatoes. "What? This is Pryor's first epic party and she needs a dress right?" Though Miranda and I both know Lila's been bragging about this the whole week. I can tell by the splash of red covering her whole entire face. Either Wade and Devan plan to crash the party along with Jonah or she plans on dancing with another hottie behind his back. But Lila's nothing like that. She'd never dump someone as attractive as Wade for an idiot. Leaning in with my tray filled with vegetable stir fry and a green apple, I smile at the idea.

Elbowing Miranda in the shoulder, she tenses. Her slow chewing and rapidly tapping red nails brought out the best in her red blushed face. "No way, absolutely not!" I drop my mouth open to the ground and stare blankly at her. Lila rolls her eyes and sits back in her chair. "And why the hell not?" Perking her lips, Miranda ruffles her pink hair before gazing outside the window. "You know....I hate shopping." That can't be all. Sometimes it's none of my business, sometimes I don't push people to do the things they would never do before someone actually pushes them off the cliff but this is completely different. Tapping the tip of my nails on the bright red table, I sigh deeply. "You know there are other ways to get you to go, Miranda. It's your birthday and you're not even gonna wear a freaking dress?!!!"

My sudden outburst clicked right away. Miranda stumbles back in her chair and sulks. "You both just don't understand. There's a whole lot more to it than that, ya know. My mum wants me to pick out a dress so I can...." Leaning in for the kill, Lila smiles then pauses then smiles again. It keeps going like that until Miranda looks up at the two of us with sad puppy dog eyes. "I wanna impress Daniel, alright but I'm afraid he's not gonna notice me. I don't exactly stand out like you do, Pryor." She turns her sullen attention to Lila who finally breaks out of her weird trance from earlier. "Or you, Lil." Finding the hoodie from behind her sweater, she forces it over and hugs both of her legs like a big fat cry baby.

"Miranda...." I begin saying, reaching for the grey hoddie. Her face is surroundeded by utter darkness which pisses me off. "I'm sorry if we're not considering your feelings but this is exactly why we need to go shopping. You're pretty, smart, and hell girl you give great advice. We're lucky to have a friend like you, aren't we?" I turn towards Lila who opens her arms out to give the two of us a bear hug. "Ah, my babies are finally leaving the nest!" Lila fake cries before kissing me on the cheek and pinching Miranda on hers like she was her child. Together we pulls off her hood, underneath with her head buried is a teary faced Miranda. Eyes widened, her face looks so much like a little girl's....no offense. Red cheeks, small little hiccups and moans. Damn I wonder what's keeping me from patting her on the head and repeating 'everything's going to be alright.'

"If...and that's a really big if.....you guys can't make fun of me or anything like that. No pictures!" She points her tipped finger nail at lila who whips her arms out ot the side like she just met defeat. Laughing, I pinkie promised her along with a pouty-faced Lila. "You're no fun, birthday girl." Sticking out her tongue at Lila, she wipes away the tears. At the loud ringtone of the bell, Lila leaves first with a small little purple bag and a brightly colored smile. "Okay so we meet in front of Miss-la-queen at 10:00 tomorrow." She scans my face before putting a hand on her hips. "And I'll come pick you up Pryor so be prepared. And as for you," she zips her finger at Miranda. "be there with a smile and pockets full of money."

Miranda rolls her eyes before grabbing her bag from the back of the chair. I feel so light all of a sudden. My first time shopping in town is for an epic birthday party; although I think this plan could backfire on the three of us.....just saying! Still there's something else on my mind....love, romance, my Prince Charming. Is Jonah really coming to the party like he said he would? Or are those just empty words used to lure me back into his web of lies? Whatever the outcome is, I know it can't be good. Though there's a slight chance that this party could save our 90% chance relationship, I mean was the whole pushing him like a mad man too much for a wimpy little girl like me, yes. Did crying to the others make these recent awkward moments with Jonah frustrating? YES! God effing damn it, I miss him! So what does that tell you about me? I can't live without him. Breath without him. The missing part of my heart lies with him now. We known each other for a week but it feels like we we're destined to meet someday and for some reason I can't figure out why.
