There were a few changes in the original plan we had. Instead of going out into the hot sun in our jeans and large shirts, Jonah and the rest of the guys decided to drop me and the girls at our houses to get ready. Star says she'll stop by my house to pick me up but deep down inside my stomach is crawling with butterflies. Why, because she's taking me to Jonah's house. Thanks to my falling asleep in his car at Miranda's house he got a seek peek at my house—not to mention my room. Plus my mom met him and she hasn't really said a word about her first impression of my boyfriend. Oh dear God I hope he didn't say anything unnecessary to piss her off. Or even worse....wait can it even get any worse than that? I sigh and change out of my stuffy clothes as Ellie relaxes on my bed, studying my reddened face. "Chill out sis, it's just a date downtown....with witnesses." She rolls her eyes and looks at the choice of dresses and skirts lying on my desk. "If you're trying to seduce your boyfriend none of these are going to work out for you." I stick my head out from the bathroom and pout. "Who says I'm trying to seduce him. We're just hanging out around the mall and shops for a few hours." My little sister scuffs before heading for my closet herself. As she shuffles around spring clothes, her eyes glitter at a thigh-length white dress with matching black combat boots and a leather jacket. I'll admit Ellie can be pretty annoying when she wants to be but she does have great fashion taste. I wonder where she gets that from. After drying my hair and curling the rims, I picture myself in the outfit she selected and I have to admit my imaginational self looks tots hot in that outfit. "Well?" My sister says hanging out the combination in her hands. I finally give in to my dark side and take the dress, jacket and boots and try them on in the bathroom.

A few seconds later I step out wearing my outfit for the evening. Ellie awes in amazement and threatens to take a picture to send to one of her friends before I banish her from my room for the rest of today. She instead gives me a wink, her 'give it your best at seducing your boyfriend' wink before skipping out of the room. And good timing too. The bell rings at the same exact time I'm about to parade down the stairs. Though dad ends up getting the door before me, he greets Star and Jeanna like he senses nothing strange about them and invites them inside. The two of them flash me smiles, real smiles. For the first time I see Jeanna actually trying to make friends with me. And I must say, her outfit choice along with Star's is out of this world amazing. They both wear the same kind of make-up and jewelry but besides that, the blue dress with thick diamonds and a choker is different for Jeanna. Star, on the other hand is rocking the crimson red thigh-length with bra straps and a black cross strap purse. At first my dad looks back and forth between the three of us before he clears his throat, trying to get my attention. "Are you guys going to another party?" He asks sternly as if mom told him to be more firm with me. I relax my shoulders and shake my head. "Just going downtown for some shopping. Tomorrow is a holiday after all dad." He blushes as if he had forgotten. I love this side of him—when he doesn't have the solider look in his eyes he can be a reassuring person. "Alright then, just don't stay out too late, sweetheart. I'd hate for that young man to have to carry you inside again." Crap! So dad saw him too? I try to cover up my embarrassment with a promising smile while mentally I'm kicking myself in the heart.

"Don't worry Mr. Winds we'll look after your daughter with great care," Star sticks up for me with a hand to my shoulder. Jeanna does the same and nods to my dad. "Oh well then I guess I've been overreacting a bit. Work's been killing me for some time and your mom's been busting her ass calling parents almost every day because of some delinquents at school. Ugh it's just been one bloody hell of a nightmare in this house." No kidding. I ease my brows and reach out to caress my dad's cheeks warmly before giving him a kiss goodbye. "I think it's time you guys went on vacation." I suggest before leaving with my friends. I can picture my dad with an exhausted grin on his face like he'll actually think about my offer. "He's not thinking of moving you guys back home is he?" Star asks me out of concern as we get inside the black SUV on the edge of the street. I shrug my shoulders as a response but it's pretty clear what my true feelings are. I don't want to leave. Having to meet everyone that I have—this life of mine can't get any better than this...can it? Jeanna drives around the blocks down a couple unfamiliar street with houses double the size of my own. Compared to mine—this makes the structure of the white house look like trash. The house we pull up too is too big for my taste. A large parking lot surrounds the outer yard of the house along with plenty of grassland and a backyard the size of Africa. Star and Jeanna lead me to the large, stone step-way towards the cream molding double doors. Cars of all models fill up the parking lot and the smell of alcohol and cigarettes couldn't have been more sensitive to my nose. "You didn't tell me you guys were hosting a party," I say to lighten the mood. Star stops at the top of the stairs leading to the doors and looks confused. "Party? Not likely my dad probably just invited the rest of the 'family' here for something back home."
