22. You make me so angry

The tournament continued on after the students had lunch. Team purple comes first amongst the teams which put Taehyung in a better mood after that apple eating game they had.

Now more games and relays await the teams and the champion will be announced at the dinner party in the evening.

"Listen up! This won't be a simple race. You and your partner will have your ankles tied together as you run. Whoever makes it to the finish line first, of course, will win this round."

"We can do this, Jin!!" Jungkook motioned a hi-5 at Jin which the latter cheerfully accepted.

"Yeah, sure!! I'm not really a fast runner though!" Jin said.

"It's fine. We don't need to hurry. It will only slow us more if we trip down so just hold into my hand and follow my lead, hmm?" Jungkook flashing his bunny smile at Jin.

Taehyung from afar watches the two and just scoffed at himself, "Why do they need to tie up their ankles together?! They can just run and easy, the race is done. Pfftt!"

"On your mark.. Hana, dul, seht!"

Jin and Jungkook walked briskly as fast as they could. Their legs went forward in harmony, their hands tightly held each other, while the other teams are tripping and falling due to running in random steps.

As Jin and Jungkook reached the finish line first, they jumped happily and hugged each other in joy. The whole purple team ran into them and hugged them two. Namjoon and Yoongi were shaking Jungkook's shoulders and pulled him in for a group hug.

So Jin stepped back but bumped into his teammate behind him. When he turned around, he saw it was Taehyung. So he smiled at him slightly.

Taehyung scratched his head and said, "Great job!" So Jin's smile went full on, happy to hear Taehyung praised him. "Thanks, uhmm well--"

"Jin, that was so cool!!" Yoongi pulled Jin to their group, leaving Taehyung with the other purple team members. Jin frowned as he looked back at Taehyung but immediately smiled at his other teammates when he was faced with them. This was noticed by Jungkook but just shrugged it off.

"Final game guys!! Just a simple volleyball. Oh no, it's not simple at all coz y'all only be using your feet! Five members per team. C'mon gather up!"

The purple team's players are Taehyung, Jin, Jungkook, Namjoon and Jimin.

"Just great! I wonder what kind of team work will happen here." Jin muttered to himself.

As the game goes on, purple team is on the lead by two points. Everyone was keen to watch who will turn out to be the champion. So the game was really intense.

On the final set, Jin was about to receive the ball coming strong at him but Jimin pushed him aside to kick the ball. This caused Jin to fall and scrape his knee. He also seemed to have sprained his ankle.

"What the fuck, Jimin!! We're teammates!" Taehyung hissed at Jimin.

"Whoops sorry! I didn't mean to. Or maybe I did." Jimin whispered the last sentence he said, but Jungkook heard it. He was about to come at Jimin but Yoongi was able to stop him.

"Bro, chill!" Yoongi said to Jungkook. "You tell your bitch that!!" Jungkook answered back. But his attention was caught by Taehyung, helping Jin walk out of the court.

Taehyung took Jin in front of the rest room and seated him on the bench while the game continued on. He then wet a towel and went back to Jin to help him clean his scraped knee.

"Are you okay, ner- uhm Jin? You sure you don't need a bandage for your ankle?" Taehyung said kneeling in front of Jin, wiping on his knee.

"It's okay, I guess. I can walk just fine. Thank you." Jin forced a nervous smile.

"You never changed. You still let them push you around. Tsk!"

"Yeah, you're the only one who changed around here." Jin said.

Taehyung glared at Jin, stood up and threw the towel at his face, "Here!! Clean up yourself!"

"Hey!! You are such a mood!" Jin pouted.

Taehyung got his eyes fixed on Jin's pout, lingered on his plump juicy lips and felt that his heart was beating fast. He was about to step forward but heard Jungkook call his name, "Taehyung! We won. The team leader is needed there!"

So Taehyung glanced at Jin one last time before he walked away. Jungkook saw Jin sighed as he stared at his own scraped knee. He could feel the tension between the Taehyung and Jin earlier, and he just frowned at the thought of what could've been happening with them.

They were all back to their hotel rooms, cleaning up and getting ready for the ceremonial party to award the winning team of the tournament.

Jungkook has been thinking deep since this afternoon. He can't keep his mind off Jin. Seeing him unhappy all the time makes him sad too. So he thought this is the best time for him to step a foot forward to make him happy.

He breathes in deeply before he knocks on the door.

Knock. Knock.

It took a while before the door opened, "Jungkook?! What are you doing here?"

"Taehyung.. Can we talk?"
