Your meeting with Bruce was quick. He asked you a bunch of questions for his files and asked if you would be okay with him taking some of your blood to test it so that hopefully he could figure out what was injected into you, how it works and his main goal: find a counter-serum that would keep you from going into shock after a fight.

You hesitated.

As far as you knew, you were the only one that was injected with that specific serum. From the few information you were able to find, they had tested a bunch of different serums on different kids to see which ones would work and which ones wouldn't. You had a little trouble trusting people at the moment and a small part of you was scared that Bruce might figure out how to recreate the serum and use it on people. You knew he wouldn't, he truly was a good person but doubt still lingered.

Steve had seen you hesitate and asked for a minute alone with you. After Bruce had left, he turned to look at you.

''I know what you're thinking.'' He put his hand on your shoulder and squeezed it. ''I understand why you would think this way, I really do.''

You nodded slightly, looking down.

''Do you trust me?''

Your head shot up and you looked him in the eyes. ''Of course I trust you. With my life. You know that.''

He smiled.

''Then believe me when I say that Bruce can be trusted. Whatever he intends to do is only to help you. He'd never hurt you intentionally.''

And you believed him, so when Bruce came back into the lab you told him that you would let him take your blood and do all the tests he needed to do.

''I have a lot of things to set up and a lot of research to do, I was thinking we could start in a couple of days?''

''Sounds good to me.'' You smiled softly.

''I'll see you all later, then.'' Bruce said, ending your small meeting.

You got up as you thanked him for everything he was about to do for you, Steve walked you out but right before you had completely exited you turned around.

''I know Tony said I couldn't go on the field until you cleared me but, can I still train? I need to do something otherwise I might go insane.''

Bruce laughed.

''As long as no one tries to kill you, I don't see why you couldn't.''

You grinned, thanking him once again.

In the elevator, Steve looked at you and noticed you still had a small smile on your lips.

''You're going straight to training aren't you?'' He chuckled.

''Damn right I am!'' You sounded excited.

The moment the elevator doors let you out, you ran to your room to change into your training gear.

You opened the door to find Bucky sitting on your bed, reading. When he heard you come in, he looked up from the pages and smiled.

You smiled back and closed the door behind you, walking to your dresser. ''You know you're allowed to bring the books with you wherever you go. As long as you bring them back.'' You told him, not because you didn't want him in your room but just in case he thought he had to stay here to read them.

''I like being here.'' He shrugged, closing the book and putting it down on your bed.

He followed you around the room with his eyes, you were all over the place looking for your gear. You seemed very excited and it made him smile.
