--DIPPER'S POV--
My scream continued until Mabel started laughing.
"You're screaming like a little girl!" Mabel giggled.
I frowned and turned away.
I should probably mention WHY I screamed. My entire lower half had been replaced by the body of a deer. And how could I forget to mention that the same had happened to my ears?
I couldn't comprehend this, and my head was spinning.
"What is going ON?" I cried.
"I have NO idea!" Mabel replied cheerfully.
I sighed. "We should get back to the Mystery Shack."
Mabel nodded in agreement. I tried to stand up, but it was really hard. My legs were really thin and weak, and I was top heavy, seeing as my ENTIRE TORSO had just been smacked onto a deer body that was only supposed to have a head on it. Eventually I got upright, but I was still wobbling a lot. My legs were shaking.
"Um, bro bro?" Mabel asked me. "How am I supposed to go back?" She raised an eyebrow and motioned to her tail.
"Oh, um..." I didn't want to do the obvious answer, but it was necessary. "Fine, Mabel, you can ride me."
I was annoyed that I had to, but, well, I had to.
"Aw yeah!" Mabel fist pumped the air and grinned.
I struggled to pull her out of the water and onto my back, and finally got her up. Either she weighed more with a tail, or my legs were just really weak, because I could barely stand. I would probably go with a mix of the two.
"Ugh, Mabel..." I started to move forward. I thought to myself, 'One foot after the other...' Then laughed in spite if myself. I didn't have feet! I was a freaking DEER. I sighed and continued on. We were still lost, but somehow I got to a familiar area, and I knew we were close. "We're almost there!" I called back to Mabel.
"Good." She replied. "But I really need water."
--MABEL'S POV--
Riding Dipper was fun and all, but I still couldn't comprehend the past events. I wanted to be freaking out like a normal kid, but one, I am NOT a normal kid, and two, Dipper was so. Freaking. Cute! I laughed a lot of the ride and had to resist the urge to just pet him.
Then I realized something. I had been out of water for a while, and that wasn't good.
"We're almost there." Dipper announced.
"Good," I reply, "But I really need water."
Dipper's eyes widened. "Oops, forgot about that." He said, suddenly frantic. He started to pick up speed. Man, was he getting the hang of this! I grinned in spite of myself at the sudden speed. I was drying out, yes, but this was still fun.
Eventually we reached the shack. Dipper slowed. "Maybe I didn't think this through...how do we get in without Stan seeing us?"
I thought for a second. "I don't know...it's close to night, maybe he's asleep? I say we just go in."
Dipper nodded. He knew I had a point. Stan was so lazy, he would go to sleep at noon if we weren't there to take care of.
Which we hadn't been.
Dipper opened the back door, and, sure enough, our Gruncle Stan was asleep in his armchair, the 'The Duchess Approves' marathon still playing.
Dipper snuck up the stares, though he wasn't very quiet. The steps creaked, and hooves are much louder than feet. Stan was still sleeping, so that was good!
We reached the top, and Dipper headed to the bathroom. He filled the tub and put me in. I felt instantly better. "Ahh..." I sighed happily.
Dipper still looked nervous.
--DIPPER'S POV--
I had gotten us both home safely, but in the morning Stan would inevitably find us, and what would we tell him then? That we drank from some random steam and turned into...non-human creatures? I didn't know what to call us.
For the first time, in the florescent light of the bathroom, I really got to see myself. My entire lower half was that of a small deer, with brown fur and white and caramel flecks. I turned to see myself in the mirror and nearly screamed again. (I hadn't seen my ears yet)
"M-Mabel?" I stuttered.
"Yeeeees Dip?" She asked from the tub where she was casually flipping her tail.
"Were these always here?" I asked, pointing to my head.
"Uh, yeah, I thought ya noticed." Mabel shrugged.
"No I didn't!" I grumbled, and tapped one of the ears. They were soft, and they were the same brown as my body, and with the same specks.
"I think they're cute." Mabel said nonchalantly. She turned to me. "You're so ADORABLE!" She grinned.
"Yeah, great." I rolled my eyes. "I'm going to try and sleep. Are you gonna sleep in here?"
"Where else can I sleep?" She shrugged.
I saw her point.
"I'll sleep on the floor. I mean, it's a fair sized room, and I would NEVER get comfortable in my bed..." I carefully folded my legs under myself on the floor, feeling very awkward doing so.
"Aw thanks bro bro." Mabel smiled and sighed. "G'night."
I locked the door so Stan couldn't come in and see us and yawned. I would figure this out tomorrow. I was tired now.
"Good night Mabel."
I leaned against the wall and fell asleep.
((A/N-sorry for the loooong chapter, but a lot needed to fit in here. And no, not including anyone else as monsters because Deerper and Mermabel are cute and this is my story so back off! Please give feedback :3))
