--MABEL'S POV--
Dipper flew out the window and landed extremely lightly three stories below.
"Woah, that was cool!" I whooped.
"Yeah, sure, let's go." Dipper said, and cantered into the woods.
--STAN'S POV(ooh a new POV!)--
"Ok, something's up..." Wendy said. "You obviously signaled them to head for the forest...but they couldn't leave without going through here...right?"
"Uh, weird! I wasn't meaning to seem like that." I tried to fake a laugh, but Wendy wasn't buying it.
"I'm going to find them. Soos, stay here and work your shift. I'll do some extra work at night to make up for this." She glared at me, then slammed the door and ran towards the forest.
--DIPPER'S POV--
I was a little into the forest, walking now, when I heard Wendy.
"Dipper, Mabel, where are you? Why are you hiding?"
I froze, ears pinned back. "Shhh..." I muttered to Mabel under my breath. Wendy sounded kinda far off, so I started running. I eventually came to a small grove of intertwined willows.
"Perfect!" I sucked under the thick leaves and branches of one.
I heard someone walking in our direction. I knew it was Wendy.
"Come on, guys, this isn't funny!" She called. She passed right by us, I backed up...and stepped on a twig. It snapped, and Wendy turned towards the willows. I had two choices: stay here and wait to be found, or turn and run.
I chose to run.
Needless to say, I made the wrong choice.
What I didn't know was that Wendy thought the twig was a rock moving somewhere. After all, she was listening for movements of human feet, not hooves.
But I didn't know that. As I turned to run, I whacked my head on a thick branch and couldn't help but yelp, "Ow!"
Mabel fell off my back and yelped as well. I picked her up as Wendy started walking to the tree. Mabel silently pointed at a twig lodged between two of the scales on her tail. I pulled it out, and she yelped again.
"Okay, guys, I hear you there!" Wendy called.
It was too late to run. I had to face Wendy.
I took a deep breath and turned to the direction of her voice. I put Mabel back onto my back, ready.
"Alright, this was fun, but I don't wanna play anymore." Wendy opened a gap between two branches, then saw us.
And she screamed a scream from the depths of hell.
