chapter 9: hang out with toriel and meeting asgore

I appeared at which I believe is toriel house and see asriel waiting at the front door. Asriel: "oh hey human! This is our second house at waterfall. Do you want to come inside? I think mom home." I nodded. Asriel: "sweet! Let get started" he than turn around facing the door. Asriel: "by the way I'm glad your alright. Mom said that she try to convince you to stay anyway she could. I was really worried. But than I remember how great you were at dodging, is that a human thing? Dodging stuff? Well you can tell me later" the door infront of us open revealing Toriel. Toriel: "hello? Oh asriel!" She look at him smiling. Asriel: "hey, mom my friend wanted to visit! Is it okay" she look at me surprised. Than she smiled. Toriel: "of course they can come in." Asriel than went inside
I was about to until I heard a strange noise. Asriel: "hey your coming?" I Shrugged than went inside. The inside of toriel house was really pretty, it was clean, she has a piano. Toriel: "please make your self comfortable" asriel: "I would love too, but i promised to do something with chara" toriel: "is that so? Very well, could you tell them to be careful?" Asriel: "I will, hope you guys have fun" asriel than left leaving me and toriel alone. Toriel look at me. Toriel: "why have you come to see me again? Is this a rematch. No, it couldn't be. Did you change your mind about staying with us?" I shook my head no. Toriel: "ah. Of course. My apologies. But why than. You clearly want to move on. But by coming back to me. Did you think I was lonely?" I shook my head yes. Toriel: "ah, such a king child you are. I suppose you think this because of what happened on the cliff. That is.....an accurate guess. Ever since chara and asriel left. No, even before then. Our homes have been very very quiet. I can't let them go back to the lab now. After what we saw and what happen to chara." Wait something happen to chara? I look at her hoping she will tell me. Toriel: "oh, no I couldn't tell you! It no story for a child. But even after all that, the greatest shock wasn't seen yet. It was how fast my children wanted to forgive him. There no way I could do something like that so easily and than they wanted to leave here. Asriel was especially adamant with his training at snowdin. I know they didn't feel safe here and would be with the guards but. They are still so young. I gave in eventually but....oh my" she look like she notice something. Toriel: "it looks like I started rambling on with noticing. Excuse me, this is no way to treat a guest. Stay here as long as you like if you want too. Make yourself comfortable. You are free to look around if you want. Take a seat if you need to." I sign thank you to her. Toriel: "oh my, is that sign language? I'm sorry but I don't know sign language that well so I don't know what you are saying. My bad child" I gave her a smile to say it ok. I look around her house, I look out the window. Toriel: " There nothing of interesting there but the crystals are fantastic with the light shining on them." I than walk to her piano. Toriel: "it being awhile since I have played this, chara was eager to learn how to play. But they only learn one song before they left. It wasn't a long song either. But it did make asriel happy" I immediately started blushing as I think about chara playing a piano. I wonder if she will play for me. I than went to a blue door. Toriel: "that our bedroom. Not that 'we' have been using it together. Either way, your not allowed in there. Sorry family only." I went over to her stove. Toriel: "we had that install before asriel was born. He wouldn't be able to master fire magic for awhile after all. But he could still learn to bake in the meantime" I look at the spoons and forks, but for some reason there no knives. I went her fridge. Toriel: "it a blessing to be able to store food so easily. I still remember smoking freshly caught salmon on the surface. It would be nice to do it again with chara and asriel. Perhap one day" after I was done looking around I decided to sit down. Toriel: "good good, I hope that seat is comfortable. Now what would you like to drink. Let see what I have here" she than went over to her fridge and had a look in it. She than grab some stuff out and place it on the kitchen counter. Toriel: "please make your choice." I was about to get up until she stop me. Toriel: "oh, you dont have to get up. Let see.....ah, here. Use this to make your choice" she than summon a tiny flame. Toriel: "dont worry; it not hot enough to catch anything here aflame" she gave me it and I move it to the lemonade. Toriel: "the lemonade? Hm, I wouldn't recommend it myself. It came from a box of packets that fell down here. There isn't anything bad about it necessarily. But it doesn't taste as good as real lemonade. Also if I recall, chara poured a lot of sugar in it. More sugar than powder actually. I do hope she brushing their teeth." I than move the flame to tea. Toriel: "ah, that tea, I don't see why not. 2air a moment. How old is this. It full of little sprigs. Or was it supposed to be like this. Hm, I dont recall. Better safe than sorry" I than move the flame over to the hot chocolate. Toriel: "the hot chocolate? Alright. Oh is it empty? What a shame. It must be from last time she was here. I need to get more marshmallows for it anyway" I than move the flame over to, a ketchup soda? Toriel: "that one, are you sure? Very well" she than grab it and brought it over to me. Toriel: "it should be cool from being in the fridge so long" I took a sip of the soda. *cough* *cough* the taste is indescribable. I can feel my whole body cringe. Toriel: "somehowni am not surprised. It never sound like a good drink. Must be leftover from the last time sans-that is, the king visited" she sigh and sat down. Toriel: "around the time asriel was born, I decided to join the royal guard. I felt like I should help everyone to the best of my abilities. He was such a, sans was, he was a great person than. We could joke for hours, shooting back and forth bad puns. Gorey would get stuck in the middle of it and laugh along. Such pleasant times..." she than smiled. Toriel: "back than, I truly believed he meant best for everyone. Of course I had no Idea what his plans was, so I blindly followed it. I was so sure he would let the humans stay with him." Than Her smiled disappear and look down. Toriel: "it wasn't until I one day I went to the throne room to give my report. I came in early so I could make lunch for asriel when i went back home. Sans doesn't wake up early. So I could drop off the papers and leave. That when Iknee what his plan was for those that fell down here. There was movement inside so I peeked through the cracked door. The king was standing in the middle of the room, hand raised and a human child suspended by their soul midair. My feet moved on their own as I dashed inside. I felt so betrayed. I couldn't stop yelling at him. A few fires flared around him. I didn't want him to run from what he did. Slowly, the human was set down into the cracked earth. He didn't look at me when he told me to take them away. I did so without hesitation. As soon as we were out of the throne room, I looked over at the child. I felt heartbroken, never before have I seen someone inadvertently poor state. If it were not for their breathing, I would have thought I was too....but they were alive, much to my relief. I took them to gorey lab immediately. They needed help right now. After some talk, we decided to take them in properly. Tell me.... have they been well lately? Have they been eating well? Ate they....oh of course they aren't lonely. Ever since we introduced them, chara has always been taken by asriel. It took a little while but asriel eventually return the gesture. From that day on, they have been inseparable. They spend hours looking through the fallen items from the surface. The scarf asriel has on actually fell down here. It land on my home place outside my home. Chara took it and after a few hours it had a colorful design. Oh how asriel eyes shined! I would do anything to see it again. And that why....oh how could I risk him getting hurt? He certainly has enough talent with magic to protect people. But if something happen to him ..my heart couldn't take it. That why I tired to get him into baking more often. That way he can take care of him self when he goes on his own. Plus his fire magic doesn't get rusty, in case of emergency. That being said, with it be enough? We haven't talked alot since the incident. I wonder was it my fault that day? I can only hope that it isn't true. Oh, I being talking for too long haven't I? She than started preparing the ingredients for what we are making. Toriel: "I already took care of the crust, so let work on the fillings" she started telling me to work on the water ingredients. I did just as she told me. Toriel: "well done. now I'll add in the dry ingredients" when she was done add in the dry ingredients I started mixing it while she ready the heat. Sound like she will be using fire magic. I finished mixing it and pour it into the crust. While she use her fire magic I was washing the dish. She praise me it made me happy to know I was doing a good job. Toriel: "well done. It ready now all it needs is to cool down. You know I dont think I thank you for coming over. The hunch you had before was more true than I expected. It being so long when it was not just me here. I try my best to temper my, well, "temper" most of the time is works well. But sometime you something that strikes the wrong nerve. I'm sorry if you were scared. There no reason I couldn't try a kinder way. Good intentions only go so far. Something that only gorey knows to well of." She stop and look at me. Toriel: "listen gor-*asgore* will be near hotlands Entrance. He means well, I swear. He may see someone that scare you. But he will protect you in my stead. I promise. To be caught up in such a mess. Luck isn't on his side I suppose and I couldn't be st his side to help him." She laugh. Toriel: "what a miserable situation. Dear one I think it Time I make amends. Starting with those that ran from me. They may not be happy still. But perhaps I can persuade them. A little sweetness goes a long way after all." We than finished up and went out of the house. Toriel: "again thank you my dear. If you need me I'll be at snowdin near asriel home. I am certain that asriel will stay by my side most of the time. Please, ring us up if you are feeling lonesome. It only fair I return the favor ok? Take care and good luck." She than left. She really nice, the way she care for asriel and chara. I can Feel my body ready to go. I than went back to the path I was at before and continue forwards. I reach another long path way and as I was walking down it I saw a sign that said hotlands on it. As I got over to which I believe is hotlands it was so hot that I can feel my self melting. I walk past a guard station but chara was not there. "Weird" I said to my self I wanted to know the incident that toriel mention. As I got ahead I see a massive building infront of me. The door open and I walk in it was alittle bit dark and also very cooling in here. I went over to what looks like a big screen tv and saw my self? As I walk forward hoping to find a light switch they was something standing in front of me. The light appear around them. It look like fish? "So you finally showed your sorry face, punk! About time! Ypu have no idea how long I was watching that screen before you got here! So you realize how much trouble you're in by coming here? So many monsters are waitting for another soul. The last piece that will set us all free! But then you went ahead and show kindness to everyone like they dont know what right and wrong" than she went a head and act like me. Acting like my kindness is alie. "You think I'm going to fall for that, I know you are just waiting to obliterating us when everyone least expected! I seen stuff that humans can do with their giants swords and their charges up golden hair." Wait does she watch anime? "It awesome! Ly terrible. There no way I'm going to let you hurt anyone. I'll stop you before you reach the king! And I'll do it infront of a live Audience! I am the saviors of all monsters! I am the hero that they all deserve! I am undyne!! It will be the last name you will remember! Prepare yourself!! She than pull me into a fight.
(Battle begin)
I chose check "undyne 30 atk, 100 def. Her metal body boost her defense" my soul than turn green. Undyne: "as long as your green there no way you can run!" Face me head on with you dare!" Than a front barrier appear and I use it to block her spears. I try to yell but I cough in the end. Undyne: "was that suppose to be a yell how pathetic!" I block more of her spears. I than chose spare. Undyne: "you think sparing me will change the out come of this battle. I won't count on it!" She than send more spears at a fast rate. I block them all. I chose spare again. Undyne: "grrr! Stop sparing me and fight already!" She send more spears. I got hit be one but block the rest. I chose spare again. Undyne: "why dont you stop moving than I can kill you already!" I block more of her spears and chose spare again. Undyne: "I wont take your mercy so quit it!! Just DIE ALREADY!!!" Undyne was about to send more spears until someone stop her. "Undyne." Undyne: "WHAT!!" "What did I say about camera in my lab?" Undyne: "but-but the human!" "What did I say about the cameras?" Undyne: "ugh, to not have them in here." "That right, now that is settled. This is no way to treat our guest" undyne: "guest?! That human is a threat!" "If threatening them with your spear makes them a threat, than I apologize. But there's still the matter for your punishment." Undyne looks afraid. Undyne: "you dont mean-" the guy than grab undyne and threw her right into a wall. He fix his coat. "Now that taking care of, it a pleasure to finally meet you human. Oh dont worry about her. It take more than a wall to hurt her. I'm sorry that it took so long for me to get here. The elevator takes a while to get going. I mean no harm to you. In fact I wish to help you. Just calm down

Asgore: "There we go. Well done. Howdy! I'm dr. Asgore dreemurr, the royal scientist of the underground. And that young lady is my apprentice undyne. I wouldn't be surprised if you heard of her already. She something of a local celebrity here at hotlands, but she also stubborn. Once she was finished marathoning some, uh. Well animated action series. She got the impression that not only do all humans hate monsters. But that they are willing to fight our kind to the death. Believe me, I try to talk her out of it, with no luck at all. That why I decided to help you out as you journey through hotlands. My connections give me free range all the way to new home. The only one that will stop you here is undyne. If only she listens. Oh you were wondering about the screen. The king wanted me to keep a eye on any humans that fell down here. But he does not know about you. It would be better for a child like your self to go home. But by all means. You must prepare your self for the trip onwards. My lad will be your safe house, minus the hole in the wall. Just think of it like a safe place to run to if you are endanger. Make your self comfortable before you leave." I nodded and just about to look around until he stop me. Asgore: "oh, one thing. Let us exchange phone numbers to make talking more easier" I pull out my phone which took him by surprise. Asgore: "Haha, I remember that phone model! It was the latest model of it time. It being so long now. Just a moment I'll upgrade it for you" he than took it and left. I than hear banging noise, drill noise, for some reason a cat noise? He than return with my phone. Asgore: "here you are your new phone. All of your old numbers were kept on there and I add a app for portable storage! If will come in handy when you need it. Texting is available and online. I didn't know if you wanted that so I just put it in there. Just in case. I'll be in touch to make sure you are ok. that all I have for now. If you excuse me I have some equipment to take care of. Oh and by the way, thank you for befriending my family." He than and I started looking around. I look at the hole that undyne was throwing too. I hope she ok. I look at his computer. It looks really old. He has a half full of dog food. I took a thermoses hoping he didn't mind. He has gardening tools. I went up stairs and he has different bookshelves. One bookshelves was all about science stuff. The she is human history. One has vdses and DVDs of animes. There another human history. The last one was visual entertainment. He has his on golden flowers growing inside. A work bench that been used as a tea table. He has a wardrobe that full of lab coats and sweaters. One of them has "mr dad guy" on it. He has a drawer and a bed. There a poster that has undyne on it. I went back down stairs and exit asgore lab.
