As I stare out my window, looking at the big blue sky
I sit there and ask the Lord our Savior why I must die,
They tell me I have only a few more days to enjoy this earth,
Because I was diagnosed with a rare disease ever since birth,
My life has been full of trauma and pain until the last day,
It will be then when I can be at peace and have nothing to say,
My family will mourn my death, and all will be sad,
But I will rejoice for the life I never had,
I am frightened and curious to what is to become of me,
On the day my judgment is served and how long my sentence will be,
As I stare out my window looking at the big blue sky,
I realize my fate and begin to cry.
