Images of obscure scenes fill my distraught and weak mind,
I see visions of death, heartache and all the evil you can find,
I stare blankly into the depths of hell,
Oh if I only had a voice to tell,
All the people who would listen would run,
Because they would hear of all the damage that could be done,
Frightened of the things that will be,
If they continue not to see,
The destruction of our souls caused by our own demise,
The fortunate few who can help are the wise,
But they need help just like me and you,
And I don't see us volunteering or reaching out to,
So I have become comfortably numb,
I broke down and joined the dumb.
