I grab my keys and Shawn and I walk back to the car. I put the keys in the ignition and turn up the volume on the radio. Uptown Funk came on, typical. Usually I get tired of hearing the same some over and over again but for some reason this one was an exception.
"OH YES THIS IS MY JAM" Shawn says.
You two sing along until the song is over. The radio went to some commercials so you turned it off. There was only a minute of silence before you hopped out of the car and locked it.
"Hey I was thinking it would be fun if we invited a few friends tonight, would that be okay with you? I ask looking over at Shawn.
"Oh yeah totally. I think it will help you get your mind off things you know?" He said with a comforting look in his eye.
I call Gilinsky and he says that he is on his way. I didn't want him to feel like the third wheel so I called Johnson and he said he would just pick up Jack on his way. I don't really have that many girlfriends because of drama but that is totally fine with me, the guys are the best friends that I could ask for. I wouldn't have met them if it wasn't for Shawn.
I heard a knock at the door and opened to to see the Jacks.
"Hey guys come on in. Okay we could just sit around and talk but I think it would be more fun if we played a game so I am going to call a couple more people over."
"Fine by me" Gilinsky says taking a seat on the floor talking about about how he is so excited for this summer and he thinks big things are going to happen for him and Johnson. I could just see the passion in my eyes. For a split second I felt something. I don't know just seeing him talk about something he loves with such passion in his eyes it...it sparked something in me. This sounds really stupid but it's hard to explain.
But I have Shawn, the perfect dude. We aren't together yet but hopefully we can work something out in the future. I'm just being unrealistic and irrational.
When our other friends came over we started to talk about a game to play.
