I felt so bad saying that to Shawn. I could tell it hurt him. For now I just can't be in a relationship though. I had to get out the awkward situation so I asked him if he would take me to the county fair that was in town.
When we got there we met up with a few of Shawn's friends, Cameron, his girlfriend Whitney, Kian, and his girlfriend Andrea. They all knew that me and Shawn were just friends, although they have told us to get together many times.
Shawn interlocked his hand with mine. I couldn't help but notice how well my hand fit in his.
"Oh we'll look who it is, the two love birds!" Yelled Whitney
I could feel my face turn red.
"Nah, not yet at least." Shawn smirked softly elbowing me.
"We don't have time for this. What do you guys wanna do?" Kian asked, wrapping his arm around Andrea's waist.
I couldn't help but think of Brayden. There were all these couples around me. We got in line for the Ferris wheel.
"Speak of the devil." Shawn said. I turned around and a couple people behind us in the line was Brayden. He already had a new girlfriend. What a jerk. I decided to brush it off and enjoy the day with shawn.
Our day consisted of me almost puking all over shawn, Kian and Andrea in a hot dog eating contest, and who knows where Whit and Cam went. I had so much fun with shawn today. I hope we can have many more like this.
