[A/N: Sentences in Bold Italic are Nina's(Arthit's mother) thoughts.

"Oon, Have you gone mad?" Nina shouted at Arthit who's taking the decision in haste

"No, Mae... I have thought a lot about it" Arthit replied calmly, still looking at the pool.

"If you're thinking your grandfather or ancestors have buried some treasures inside the pool, then forget about it and look at me, You idiot!!" Arthit chuckled at Nina's outburst and looked at her.

"What is the reason behind it?" Nina asked in a serious tone

"I am just being an obedient son."

"Yeah, right... everyone knows how obedient you are" Nina replied sarcastically.

"Oon, if you're thinking of marrying him just because of his sudden health conditions, then I won't let that happen-" Not minding his mother's words, Arthit started to narrate a story with dreamy eyes, remembering how he met Kongpob for the first time.

"You know Mae, I never knew the definition of feeling connected before I met a man... who looked lost yet walking confidently. He was not showing off but also not feeling shy, he just minding his own business... not wandering his eyes in the surroundings and just focusing on his path.

The first time, I saw him...There was an invisible force that pulled me towards him. I wanted to run towards him and hold his hand... tell him that I am there for him... That was not love at first sight, Mae. It was something more than that... something that soul is connected to, my insides are screaming that it found its rightful owner.

I didn't even saw his face clearly because the lights on top of the ice-cream parlor were falling on him... you know how angel looks, he was exactly like that but his eyes... they had no shine.

I wanted to add shine to those eyes. I wanted to see myself in those eyes. I wanted to hold his hand but... I couldn't move for some reason. I felt all these just in mere seconds of seeing him. Why is it like that, Mae?

He was busy typing in his phone when some pervert crept his hand towards him and I felt like killing that person. Before I can even move, that pervert was already on the floor with a thud sound. I had to recollect slowly to understand what happened" Seeing Arthit smiling amusingly, Nina couldn't stop herself to smile. She is yet to know who that person is.

"That jerk's friends initiated a fight and Bright was there with me. He said to help Kong" Nina's smile widened listening to Kongpob's name and also a relief washed over her system. She didn't know about this story and focused more on it.

"But I stopped him. I knew he will handle it like a pro." Arthit chuckled before continuing "You should see Bright's face, Mae... he was shocked seeing Kong's sharp moves. In the blink of an eye, he knocked out most of them. He was not calling for attention yet protecting himself calmly... as if, a hot knife on a butter block. Clean and smooth!!

Everyone clapped for his fighting skills but Kongpob was unaffected by it. He wanted to leave that place and rushed out once he got his order. But... But-"

"What happened, Oon?" Nina asked seeing her son's changed expressions to more gloomy.

"Then the same guy was trembling in fear where few drunkards surrounded him and beating him. It's not the fear of the present... it's something from the past that was bothering him. He was zoned out and mumbling incoherent words. I didn't even know when I started crying until Bright wiped the tears. I requested him to handle the guys because I had other work to do. My mind was continuously chanting... I have to get him out of the dark
