Chapter 31: Field Trip & Souvenirs

Natsu's POV

A few weeks back, I informed Arisa that her Kureno was in fact Kureno Sohma, assistant and right-hand man of Sohma Head, Akito Sohma. When I also informed her that I officially started dating Hatori, she confessed to me that she had started to develop romantic feelings towards Kureno. Tohru even offered Arisa that she would help her by talking to Kureno herself, but Arisa said not to sweat about it.

But that didn't stop my stupid younger twin to take a drastic step.

One weekend, Tohru went over to the Sohma estate to talk to Kureno, all on her own. I was busy with some Student Council work and also with the preparation of the school field trip that we the 2nd year students were going, so Tohru didn't say anything to me and left on her own to visit Kureno.

In the morning of that weekend, it was Kyo who told me that for some weird reason, Tohru was asking him about Kureno the previous night. I got confused and searched for Tohru, but didn't find her anywhere in the house.

I asked Shigure and he said that Tohru went out that morning but didn't specifically tell him where she headed to. I was panicking inside, but didn't show it on the outside and tried to stay calm and collected. I called Tohru several times on her phone, but she didn't pick up her phone. I later called Hatori and requested him to find Tohru in the Sohma estate.

Then about two hours later, Hatori called back and informed me that he found Tohru with Kureno at the estate and was bringing her back home.

After Tohru was back home, I was fuming in anger and scolded her like there was no tomorrow.

I mean, Akito was at that freaking Sohma estate!

God knows what she would've done to Tohru if she saw or knew my sister was there.

Later when I cooled down a bit, Tohru then later told me everything that happened when she was at the estate. She told me about the whole Momiji and his sister Momo's situation, which obviously broke my heart, and then she met Kureno and gave him Arisa's contact number and e-mail address and said that if he ever had any change of heart, he should contact Arisa. I knew she took the risk to help Arisa and sent her to the Sohma estate, but still. I couldn't let Tohru get hurt by anyone, especially Akito. After all, she was the only family I had left beside Grandpa. She was my sister and was very precious to me.

Tohru later told me that Kureno saved her from someone named Ren from seeing her when she was at the estate. She even added that to her for some reason, she felt that the Ren person was emitting the same kind of vibe and energy as Akito.

Probably Akito and that Ren person is related or something... who knows...

But I shrugged it off because there were different other things I needed to take care of.

A few weeks later

Right now we the 2nd year students from our school were in Kyoto for the school field trip. Yuki, Kyo, Tohru, Arisa, Saki, and I were walking through a bamboo forest. Arisa was bummed out that there were too many students on the school field trip and Saki was disappointed that she couldn't eat anything freely whenever she wanted.

While Arisa, Saki, and Tohru were planning what they wanted to do on this field trip, I was busy picking up fresh leaves from the ground. I love it when the green color of the leaves turns into warm colors like red, orange, yellow, etc. during the autumn season.

This occurrence is called the 'autumn leaf color' case.

Autumn leaf color is a phenomenon that affects the normally green leaves of many deciduous trees and shrubs by which they take on, during a few weeks in the autumn season, various shades of yellow, orange, red, purple, and brown. The phenomenon is commonly called autumn colors or fall colors.
