Fallen Angel | Blind Channel

Chapter 8

The band had slowly become accustomed to Aleksi's presence whether he was there visibly or tucked away and out of sight. It made them smile to see their necklaces glowing, knowing that he was around and keeping them safe. They didn't wear their necklaces out in public but Aleksi would reassure them that he was near by occasionally brushing against their shoulders or moving a piece of hair subtly.

He had become important to the band. Even to Joel who had slowly begun to like the angel. The two ended up spending a couple of hours talking about heaven and earth before realising that they were actually getting along.

Joonas was loving the company of the angel. He would constantly hug Aleksi and teach him fun things to do when Aleksi was visible and talk to him still when he wasn't. He would always whisper a soft goodnight to the angel, smiling as an unseen hand stroked his hair softly. And even through Aleksi didn't need to eat, Joonas would always offer him food, a slight look of worry in his eyes when Aleksi refused.

Meanwhile, heaven had been keeping a close eye on Aleksi. They were surprised that he had managed to keep everyone alive. And yet there was a growing sense of anger and fear because of Aleksi.

"We can't have this. He's too close to them" growled Michael as he opened his eyes. He'd been particularly keen in watching over Aleksi after his previous assignment and so far he was not impressed. The humans not only knew of their assigned angel, but of heaven and the rest of the angels as well.

"What do you suggest we do then? Say he's proven himself and give him another assignment?" suggested Raphael as he shrugged. He believed Aleksi made the right choice for his assignment. Michael disagreed.

"No that won't work. Call him in."
