"So...what you're trying to say is that you fell here from another world?

But when you wanted to leave and go on to the next world, your path was blocked by some unknown god?"

That was how Aether, the Traveler, remembered.
He and his sister were travelling together until an Unknown God unexpectedly appeared and had blocked their path.

"Outlanders, your journey ends here." She demanded.
Lumine gasped in surprised and readied her sword behind her. "Who're you?" She asked.

"The sustainer of heavenly principles. The arrogation of mankind ends now!"

The Unknown God attacked them as black blocks appeared but fortunately the twins managed to dodge it, flying towards the air, their swords ready for battle.
Both of them fly towards the God, in which she summoned her powers and attack them in return.

Aether and Lumine glided every way they could reach, dodging every attack ahead of them and finally reached the Unknown God.

The God took a glance at Aether and tried to attack him yet again as he avoided the attacks, gliding away from the God.
However Lumine was too late as the black blocks are now surrounding her entire body and trapped her inside.

"Lumine!" Aether desperately called out to his precious sister but it was too late.
Lumine was now in the hands of the Unknown God.

Aether tried to retrieve and save his sister, quickly went to attack the God from behind but the God quickly noticed and blocked his way, trapping him and teleporting him to Teyvat.
"Wait! Don't go!" Aether cried, "give my sister back!"

But it was too late...

And just like that, the god took away my sister. Some kind of seal was cast upon me, and I lost all my power.
So while we used to travel from world to world, we are now trapped here.

That was the whole story Aether told Paimon, his emergency food.

"How many years ago was it? I don't know..." Aether sighed, drawing the events of what happened on the sand. "But I intend to find out."
Actually, that was over 500 years ago, he just didn't know he slept for that long and had just woke up months ago.

"When I woke, I was all alone- until I met you two months ago." He added, turning to Paimon gratefully.
"Yeah, Paimon really owes you for that. Otherwise, Paimon likely would have drowned." She replied cheekily, recalling how Aether managed to pull her from his rod instead of an actual fish. "So Paimon would do her best to be a great guide!" She added.

Aether only smiled to her response.
"We should head off. Let's get going!" Paimon then said, fluttering away.

While they're travelling their way towards Monstadt, they encountered a hydro slime on the way.
Aether manage to fought it using a sword he forged himself a few months ago. He's quite proud of his work himself.
Hardly breaking any sweat, he soon followed Paimon in front of a Teleport Waypoint in which he then activated.
