One by one the other champions went out into the arena, succeeding at getting their eggs. Harry listened to people outside the tent, the dragon handlers, talking about how they got them.

Fleur had charmed her dragon's sight away, making it unable to find her. Despite the fact that it could still smell and hear her, meaning that she got a little bit singed, when she neared the eggs.

Victor had confounded it, causing it to thrash uncontrollably and trample its own nest. For that reason, 20 of his 57 points had been deducted, and he had walked away with a broken bone in his wrist, after being flung across the arena, by the confused dragon's large tail. However, it was a relatively easy fix for Madam Pomfrey and he was lead off with a sling, to wait for others to all finish the task.

Cedric, who scored the highest so far, had transfigured a Boulder into a golden retriever, leaving it to run around on the other side of the eggs, distracting the dragon. That was, until he tripped and the dragon heard him, it's head snapping around to see him and throwing flames his way, while Cedric had to circle around to once again reach the eggs and then hightail it out of there as fast as he could. He had 2nd degree burns across the left side of his face and body. Again, easily healed by Promfrey, with just a sore red mark on those areas, that he had to ice for the next few days.

Harry listened as Dumbledore spoke under 'Sonorus', his voice echoing loudly, as he continued the event.

"Three of our champions have now faced their dragons. And so each one of them will now proceed to the next task." He paused and the cheers ensured, before dying down once more for him to speak. "So, now, our fourth and final contestant,"

Harry took that as his cue to go out there and walked slowly into the dark stone passage, seeing the light at the other end.

As he neared it, he saw lots of rocks and ledges, an inhospitable terrain for anything except a dragon. Green slippery mosses covered many of the rocks and he suspected that had been purposefully placed there, to make the challenge more difficult. Like facing a dragon wasn't already difficult enough?

He became visible to the crowds and their chanting of his name turned into loud cheers, before they fell silent. Waiting for whatever he would do.

Harry looked around, trying to see the dragon but unable to spot it, which is ridiculous, right! Those things were all huge! Except Norberta, who was an adorable little baby.

Harry then looked around the stands, seeing Hermione stood over with Ron. That caused him to look away from them, his eyes finding Draco, next.

The blonde smiled and nodded at him to look up, causing Harry to go still, as he realised what his boyfriend was telling him.

He backed away into the tunnel, out of everyone's view, and placed his hands on his knees, feeling overwhelmed. Sure, he was fine before, but now he was actually here.

His breathing picked up and he looked up just in time to see as the dragon dropped down in front of the tunnel, clawing large indents into the stone, before gliding slightly over to land on the furthest away rocks, the ones that were the highest in the arena.

He looked away, squeezing his eyes tightly shut and attempting to calm himself down.

"Hatchling." The deep gravelly voice was loud but soothing, with a distinctly female sound. It pulled him slightly out of his panic, though not fully.

"Hatchling, where are you?" He listened to the voice again, looking around for the source but not seeing anyone.

He then allowed his eyes to travel out to the aggravated Horntail, which was turning this way and that, its eyes searching the crowds in the stands.
