Merida

"Ah!" I yelled, as I scooted back on the Uh... Apparently white bed.

"Oh, sorry! Sorry!"

A young girl, wearing the same baggy white outfit as me, and white rubber boots was standing in front of me. She had short black hair, and the black eyeline-surrounded, blue eyes.

"I Uh," She rubbed her left upper arm, and kinda shrugged awkwardly. "Didn't mean to startle you there! I just don't get many visitors, and.. Well.." She suddenly jumped onto the bed, and sat on her knees. "I finally a-do!"

I put my hand to my chest, to make sure I wasn't dead right now.. And that this might just be a messed up dream.
But it wasn't,
I was living this. Crud.

"Where am I?" I asked, looking around. The room was just... WHITE. There were two white beds, an extremely fuzzy white carpet, white walls, a white couch- Eh, I don't really need to continue. Think of a white apartment where everything breakable is either fuzz, rubber, or plastic.

"Your at Mother Gothel's home for the insane." She answered, simply.

"Insane?!" I exclaimed, "I'm not insane!" I immediately jumped out of the bed, and suddenly began pacing back and forth across the room. I kind of felt like my mom.. When she was alive..

"That's what we all say." The black-haired girl said, "Because it's the truth. I'm not insane either." She rested a hand on my shoulder from behind.

I spun around to face her, "Well, then why are you stuck in here?"

She sighed, then looked down at the fuzzy carpet. "Well, I thought my dad was a vampire.."

I raised an eyebrow, and took a step back. The girl had no reaction, and continued on. "But you couldn't blame me.. His canine teeth were extremely sharp, he never went outside during the day, he always stayed away from garlic, and he always checked for splinters on the hardwood floors." She sighed again.

"Then there was that fateful day.. Where he killed my boyfriend, Johnny. But the way he killed him, was by sucking the life out of him with his fangs." She finished, and then looked up at me.

"Um..." I looked around the room awkwardly. "Well, I'm sorry. I understand, I'm misunderstood with my paranormal beliefs.. But I've been caught on tape so, it's worse."

The girl nodded, then looked up, and held out her hand. "I'm Mavis, by the way. Mavis Dracula."

I took her hand, and shook it. "Merida," I said, "Merida DunBroch."

"Well it's nice to meet you Merida.." Mavis replied, as she let go of my hand.

"Is there anything to do around here?" I asked, not really even trying to reply to her, and just changing the subject.

"Um... No, not really. We have our meal times, where we go down to the mess hall.. And we're lucky if we get free time." She answered, then shrugged. "That's mainly it."

"Ugh.." I groaned, flopping back onto a bed. "Then what are we supposed to do?"

"Well," Mavis said, plopping down onto the bed. "We could talk."

"About what?" I groaned again, sitting up now.

"About-" Suddenly Mavis was cut off by a sudden alarm ringing, a rectangular shape in the wall opened, to a white hallway. Mavis suddenly clapped her hands, "Ooh! Lunch time!"

"Lunch time?" I said, getting to my feet.

"Yeah, so come on! Before the doors close again!" Mavis replied, and suddenly grabbed my wrist. She pulled me out the door, and into a white hall. No one else was out here...
