Once a week I ask my mom about my father. She says the same old thing.'Your father was a nice man. He would never do anything to hurt anyone. He thought he couldn't handle responsibility so he left when I told him I was pregnant. He always kept in contact with me until I called if off. He still currently pays child support. So yes he is alive. Does that answer your question?'
Today I asked something different. "Mom. How did dad look like?" I whispered. My mom stopped doing the dishes. "He had brown hair, green eyes, a pointy nose, and the biggest muscles you have ever seen. I just wonder why he left me." Then my mom bursted out in tears. "Mom, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to make you cry." What my mom said surprised me so much."I'm gonna go call him. We'll have lunch at Burger King."
My mouth was wide open. My mom had my dad's number the whole time yet I never talked to him before let an alone seen a picture of him before?
I wanted to run away but I couldn't. I was still in a full body cast. My arms healed already so I did a handstand and walked away from my mom.
"Come back here! Tina Amilizabeth Yip, come back this instant! Why are you so mad?" My mom screamed. I Just ignored her and continued to walk away. I went to my room and cried myself to sleep. My mom went to my room."I just called your father and we are going to meet at Burger King right now so bye." She said quietly.
When she left, I sat up on my bed.
Can this week get any worse, I thought.
