Giulia was the first to start up another conversation. "So! Is anyone doing the Spettacolo di Talenti?" She asked.
"What?" Alberto replied.
"It's a newly-added event, it was added by Signora Marsigliese." Giulia explained.
"Who's Signora Marsigliese? Bella asked.
"She's the sponsor for the Portorosso Cup, which is an epic, grueling Italian traditional Triathlon: Swimming, Cycling, and Eating Pasta. Luca, Alberto, and I won it once." Giulia replied.
"Who won it all the other times?" Akiko was curious.
"Does that domanda really need to be answered?" Guido said. Akiko thought of the answer herself. "Oh. I know. No need to answer." She replied as she laughed. "I might do the Spettacolo di Talenti. I don't know. Bella? How about you?" Akiko finished.
"I'll think of what I'm doing and then I'll come back to you." Bella replied.
"Perfetto! Luca? Alberto? Guido? Ciccio? What about you, ragazzi?" Giulia asked.
"I, uh, scusami, what's a Talent Show?" Alberto questioned. Bella could answer that question. "A Talent Show is an event in which participants perform the arts of singing, dancing, lip-syncing, acting, martial arts, playing an instrument, poetry, comedy or other activities to showcase skills. Many talent shows are performances rather than contests, but some are actual contests." She said. Luca was worried about the word 'contest'. "Is this Talent Show a contest of any sort?" He said.
"Oh, no, no, no, no. It's not. It's just something you sign up for and have fun! There's nothing to worry about!" Giulia explained.
"Oh! Thank goodness!" Luca was relieved.
"Luca? Guido? Ciccio? What do you think? Should we sign up?" Alberto asked. Guido and Ciccio shared agreeing expressions as Luca nodded. "Giulia, do you know if we can be in a group if we want to?" Guido asked.
"Sì! Puoi!" Giulia exclaimed as she gave a thumbs up.
