Thalia
Sunlight streamed into the room and the air was cold and crisp. Remus rubbed his eyes before looking next to him and being met with nothing but an empty side. His heart dropped into his stomach and bile rose to his thought. He jumped up and stumbled all across the room looking for Aliyah in all her hiding spots.
"Fuck!" He shouted, his hands pulling at his hair.
"Moony? What's wrong?" Sirius asked pushing himself off his bed and away from whatever girl payed beside him as if he didn't care.
"I-I can't f-find Aliyah," his voice broke and his body begun to shake, tears falling from the corners of his eyes as he spun around.
The three boys jumped from their beds knowing this isn't a prank by Remus's crazed demeanour. Peter seemed to be on the verge of tears himself. Sirius was in the same state as Remus not knowing what to do. James on the other hand took charge and got everyone to calm down and take a deep breath — his motherly instincts where thanking over.
"Who saw her last?" James asked clapping his hands together.
"I did," Remus answered like it had been a stupid question.
"Right, obviously, duh." James hit himself in the head with a 'duh' face. "And when was that?"
"Last night, we both fell asleep. She's sleep walking again, she started doing it over the summer but I didn't think it would happen here!"
"It's okay moons, we're going to find her."
"How?" Remus questioned.
"She's probably just in the common room with Lily. She slept over last night maybe she was letting you sleep and forgot to write a note."
Remus ran down to the common room and over to Lily, "have you seen Allie?"
"I have not, is everything okay?" Lily asked jumping up and letting the book fall from her lap and onto the floor.
"No, I lost my child. FUCK! Lucius was right, I am a horrible dad."
"Remus, respectfully, shut the fuck up, your the best dad I know. Right next to Monty," Sirius grinned at his best friend trying not to feel anything as he did.
Peter ran down the stairs with the marauders map, "she's at the library, lets just go!" Remus ran after Peter, followed by the other three, all of them sprinting to their destination.
When they finally made it to the library they saw Aliyah in the arms of Hufflepuff. The little girl giggling as the older student read Alice in wonderland.
Peter fell to the floor painting in a star fish position while Sirius leaned against a wall and lit a cigarette having woken up too quickly in the morning. And James wrapped his arms around Lily kissing her cheek before following her through the room finding a book she needed — but everyone new what they were really about to do in the restricted section.
This left Remus to walk over to his daughter and the Hufflepuff.
Remus cleared his throat and the girl looked up, making eye contact with him and for a split second chocolate brown eyes met blue ones that had ounces of joy in them. Remus was hooked from then on out wanting to have some of that joy.
"Remus," her voice was angelic, soft and sweet and Remus wanted her to whisper nothings into his ear, "I swear I didn't steal your child, she walked in last night and I could tell she was sleep walking but I couldn't leave her and I didn't know the password to the Gryffindor common room so I just let her sleep beside me. I'm so sorry if I cause you a fright."
"Don't be — sorry I mean, she sleep walks a lot actually, I should of put up some safety precautions. Thank you so much though, for staying, not many people would.
She waved it off letting Remus pick up Aliyah who looked bound to fall asleep in his arms.
She stood up looking up at Remus through curly brown locks and those bright blue eyes and Remus was absolutely hooked. He didn't know what it was but he did know he wanted to know more about her.
"I'm sorry but I didn't catch your name."
"Thalia Hart," Remus let the name engrave it's way into his mind before she spoke again.
"Here, it's a book on magical creatures, she was really enjoying it before she fell back to sleep." Thalia handed him the book and Remus smiled as he took it in his opposite arm that was holding the now sleeping child, "thank you again, but I better go put her to sleep, see you around?" he asked hoping it didn't seem desperate.
"See you around."
