Hello, my name is Eldrin and as you can guess I'm a elf but to make things worse I'm a mage not proudly I might add. I refuse to use my cursed magic. Magic only ever brings misery, along with that it would send me to the circle and I definitely don't want to go there not in Kirkwall that's basically a death sentence here. Although I can use a bow very well, I like to walk around the alienage at night so I had to protect myself somehow. As of late, I have nothing to do and I heard that refugees from Ferelden I wonder if I can help any.
Time skip
I walk to where they would be outside of the gate and I see an elder woman with 3 young-looking people there talking to the Guard captain. I walk over to them and they glance at me. "Hello, do you need any help getting in the city?" The Guard captain turns to me "Oh Eldrin what are you doing here?" You may be asking why the guard captain knows me. well, I'm friends with most of the guards. "I came to see if I could help anyone that's all" I started "Oh well, do you know where Gamlin is?" He asked kindly "Oh yeah he's at the booming rose again as always" I stayed with a slight glare "Ah of course, did you just get off then?" he asked with a slight hint of sarcasm "Yep thankfully," I said with glee in my voice "um not to be rude but how do you know my brother?" The elder woman asked, "Oh he comes to the place I work and harass most of the girls, you said brother?" I blatantly said "O-oh I see, I did say brother" She stuttered "Ah so you're an Amell then?" I asked the obvious "Yes I am" she said proudly I don't think she realizes that her name has no power anymore "I can go get his drunk ass if you like" I offered "Ah no I will you keep them company" the hard said as he went off to get him he really just wants a drink jeez "well I'm Leandra this is my son Garret and Bethany my daughter" she introduces "I'm Aveline" she said "ah nice to make your acquaintances" I said and smiled

We waited hours for him to come back I called it he just wanted to drink but I stayed with them the whole time. They told me about Fereldan and about how the blight took out their village and how they had lost their youngest to an ogre. I felt bad and gave Leandra a hug and she gladly accepted it. It was nice to talk to people for so long. It's been years since I willingly talked so long. He finally came back with Gamlin
"Sorry it took so long but here he is," the Gard said as he walked back to his post "Leandra! Dang girl the years haven't been kind to you," he said as he walked to her. "Gamlin!" She said as she hugs him with joy. "Let me say this upfront I wasn't expecting this the blight your husband, I-I figured you would be Ferelden for life," he said as he pulled out of her hug. "Oh Gamlin we came too late my darling Carver didn't make it Andrastate guide him," she says as she looks at the twins. I tune out at that point I look up at the sky and just space out as it were things were bad here with people I wonder how many people we can even fit in our city I doubt they will let in too many hell they might be sending most of the ones from the blight back already and they only got in because of Gamlin I felt someone's eyes on me I look back to the family and Hawke was looking at me with an eyebrow raised as if asking if I'm ok. I smiled at him and he turned around and I realized they were done talking and he was pointing Hawke to his two options to work into the city I felt bad but I didn't have the coin to get them in but I followed them to talk to the people they went with the elf who I see outside the blooming rose all the time and they have to work for a year now jeez well at least they got in...

It's been a year and I and Hawke have kept in touch I usually help him here and there with his jobs but he's free from debt now he's now trying to go on an expedition into the deep roads wish I could go but it would be awkward to ask him if I can go so if he wants me to go I'll go but otherwise I won't I've been working as a body Gard for the girls at the booming rose and it's a good position I get to beat up pervs who don't pay it's nice I used to bar tend but this is better for me but anyway I was reading a book in my house in the alienage when I heard a knock on my door. I placed my bookmark and opened the door to see Bethany "Oh Bethany what a surprise" I said with a smile "Hey Eldrin Hawke asked me to get you come on" she said as she started walking away "Oh ok" I jogged after her. We walked to the hanged man and walked up into a fancier room "Eldrin hey" Hawke said obviously kinda buzzed "Hawke what's up it's still light out and you're still drinking my lord" I said with a chuckle Varic laughed with me. "Heyyyy" Hawke slurred "Anyway what did you want Hawke?" I asked then his eyes shot open "Oh right you're coming with us on the expedition when it's time" he said as he drank another drink "I- why do you want me to go?" I asked shocked "Because your good at Archery why else" he stated like I was an idiot "Oh right" I giggle at my stupidity "I'll come to get you when we leave or meet here in a week and we will leave," Varic said "ok I'll be here in a week," I said as I walked out
