Having just left the hospital from destroying himself, Jack was tired and weary, heading home with a promised day off of school.
'Jack, what was that back there?" his sister asked
He looked around, trying to come up with a smart remark or something to break the tension at the very least although something good came out of it, he saw a cafe, it looked so peaceful and calming, and at that moment he figured out his answer, 'The part where you sold me or the part where I almost died?'
his sister looked annoyed as his mother yelled out from the front of the car. 'Obviously, the part where I almost lost my son!'
'That does not narrow it down at all. She literally sold me...' Just blurted out, and right as his mother opened her mouth, he continued. 'I don't really know myself. I was told that it has something to do with my power being too strong for my body.'
'Who told you that?' His father asked, concerned.' Jack was uncomfortable at this point. He did not know how much he could say. Would anyone even believe him?
'Well, I am not really sure of that either, just a voice...' Jack responded flatly.
'Well-' As his father was about to speak, his mother cut in.
'That's enough questions for today. He needs his rest.'
'Thanks, mom.' They finally arrived at the house, and Jack went straight to his room. Thinking to himself, 'Well, this is a nightmare, I don't even know what to do with everything going on!' Jack opened his draw and saw two objects; one gave him hope and the other, even more nightmares. He saw a photo of him smiling with someone, and he saw a plethora of love letters. 'So I am pretty popular, huh?' He laughs to himself.
'Do you want to know more about your history?' Morrigan's voice asked in his head.
'Well, that would be cool.' Jack thought aloud.
'In that case, you see the big black book; it is a guide for you to gain your powers back. The more power you earn, the more memories you regain.' She giggles a bit at the end of her sentence.
'Thank you, your too kind. By the way, you never told me you could just pop into my head at any moment.'
'Well, you never asked.' she responded cheerfully.
'Thank you regardless.' Jack says as he reaches for the book and opens it. He reads the first instructions aloud. 'let's see it says, "The first step to reawaken your power is to spiritually awaken your body, next is to strengthen the capacity of your spirit through cultivation and meditation; finally, you have to take the life of ten people." well that seems difficult, how do I even "spiritually awaken" my body?'
'Well, I don't actually know; your powers work different from mine, but I wish I could help. I know there is a myth that traumatic and or shocking events can cause a spiritual awakening.'
'Thanks, well I have to get some sleep, talk later.'
She didn't respond, and Jack fell asleep seconds after hitting the pillow.
The night had passed, and it was now the morning. Jack had got up and decided to go for a walk, specifically to the cafe he noticed on his way home.
'Hopefully, today can be nice and relaxing.' He thought to himself.
Entering the cafe, he saw nothing of particular interest, well, almost nothing. He saw a petite girl with pink hair but didn't really think anything of it as after ordering a coffee, he sat down and relaxed.
'Hey, sir.' The petite girl tugged on his arm.
'yes?' Jack responded, trying his best to hide the inconvenience in his voice.
