Chapter 3

Hey guys, sorry it's been over a month since my last update. I started college in September and I have so much work already, I have a week off so I will write as much as possible. Thank you for all the reads and hope you enjoy this chapter. 

"You first." Emma says, allowing Norman to talk. "Well I remember walking through the gate and then my memory is just black from that point. The next thing I know, I woke up in a bed that I didn't recognise. I looked around the room, realising there was a man and women sat on two chairs near me, looking at me worriedly. I went to speak but they shushed me and explained that they knew everything about the farm and that I was safe with them. They explained that they found me on the floor passed out in the forest near their house, saw the numbers on my neck and instantly knew I escaped from the farm.  I did ask if they knew how I escaped, but they had no idea. Afterwards, they told me everything I need to know about the human world and adopted me so I had someone to stay for as long as I wanted. They gave me the idea to change my name to hide and I took their surname so I fitted in with the family more. Knowing you and Ray would eventually escape, I kept an eye out for you all and looked everywhere in my spare time, while attending school and living a life like an ordinary teenager would in the human world. I haven't found any of the other kids or anyone who's tried to look for us from Grace Field so I guess we're lucky." Norman finished, taking a deep breath at the end and looking over at Emma before speaking once again "So what about you? I am to assume the plan I told you worked?"

"Of course, it was your plan so it would have worked without mistake. Isabella almost caught us at the end when we were going over the cliff, but she let us go thankfully. While running through the woods, we were getting chased by a demon and Ray used himself as a distraction for us to get away. I managed to get  all the other children to an orphanage in the human world and made sure they were all adopted by nice people. I also got adopted by Sakura Hinata and she had a daughter named Natsu as well. She asked me about my past and the reason why I was in an orphanage in the first place, so I told her everything including the demon parts, I knew I could trust her. She hugged me afterwards and told me I was safe. After about 2 months of living here, I was sat in my room when my mother came in and I told her that I wanted to be a boy and to change my name, that way I can hide who I am in case they come looking for me and to protect my new family, I didn't want them to get hurt just because of me. Mum had no problems with that, agreeing immediately and giving me the name suggestion of "Shoyo Hinata" which I loved. And I've been going to school-" 

Norman interrupted with a confused glare towards the other "Hold on a second, I've just realised something. You are the same age as me, so why are you only a first year in school? You should be a third year like me." "Mum thought I was younger then what I was and actually surprised when I told her I was actually 17, so I just decided to take another precaution and say I was 15, meaning I would be a first year. It was for the best that I took that precaution anyway..." Emma laughs slightly. "You're very cautious Emma, are you still worried they are searching for us and will take up back to Grace Field?"  He questioned, even though he already knew the question. "Yeh... Especially since everyone already has amazing adoptive families, the kids are so happy. It's been 4 years... I know I shouldn't be worried but I just can't shake the feeling that they are looking for us and will eventually tear us away from our new family and friends." She confesses, which resulted in the silver haired boy hugging the shorter one. "Don't worry, no one will come for us. It's been too long and they still haven't found us, they won't be able to now. We'll find Ray together, as soon as possible." He reassures.

 Hugging each other in silence lasted for a good 20 minutes, both clearly missed each other. Afterwards, the two talked for hours on end, catching up on everything that's happened in the past years of being separated. Hinata checks the time on his phone and realises that it's way past midnight and the two fall asleep almost instantly, knowing for a fact they will have to get up for volleyball practice in a little while.
