Annabeth Chase, Past Present and Future

Chapter 3

Flashback

2 girls and a 2 boys were being chased by a huge cyclops.They were running and they all felt terrified. "I can hold them back.Grover take Annabeth and Luke to camp!"Shouted Thalia (The one that looked older.)  Thalia bravely walked forward to the cyclops and started scratching it with her sword.Then the Cyclops picked Thalia up with his massive hands and threw her.She landed just in front of Annabeth, Luke and Grover's feet, "Thalia noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!"screamed little Annabeth. Just as Thalia was about to take her last breath her fingers slowly turned to roots and she started to turn into a tree, a pine cone tree to be exact. 

End of flashback.

I was confused.How did I see that memory, I don't think it's mine, How am I in that memory? To think about it I'm only 7. Never mind it's probably nothing.I quickly ran to catch up with Chiron. 

"Annabeth I am going to give you a tour of camp.okay?"

 "sure."  I say.                                                    

 Chiron first shows me the big house.Then the archery range .He shows me where I will learn to fight,The dining hall,the camp store .

 But the thing which most confused me was the pine tree(And the fact everything seemed so famlier). Chiron said that 6 years ago two demigods were headed towards camp, with a cyclops on their tail. One of the two who was called Thalia grace daughter of Zeus sacrfied herself.Now Zeus was feeling guilty because he was not suppose to have had Thalia because he and his brothers Poseidon and Hades made a deal not to have children so he turned Thalia into tree to prevent her from dying.Bonus was that Thalia's tree had a protective barrier that prevents monsters coming in.

After that Chiron took me to my cabin.Cabin for a child of Athena.I looked inside.There was at least 12 beds.  

"Hey Chiron I didn't know Athena had other children."I said with wonder.  

"Yes so what gods do is they go out to the mortal world and find someone to have kids with and that child becomes a Half-blood or Demi-gods as some people say.Anyways would you like to unpack? Oh just to let you know you are going to train tommorow if thats okay.Your beds that one." Chiron quickly said pointing to a bed in the corner.

Soon after I had unpacked I found my way back to the dining hall to have dinner.I was sitting at the Athena table getting to know my brothers and sisters, there was Sophie,Lilyan, Keara, Amy, Tom,Will ,Zac,James, Conner and Jason.They made me feel welcome. 

Then Mr D(The wine god and camp instructer) grumbled a hello and said we could start eating. The tables were served with hot dogs and sauce.I hunggrily grabbed a hotdog and began stuffing my mouth.After we had eaten we had to feed our leftovers to the fire.Next we simply went back to our cabins to go to bed.

The next morning.

I woke up feeling enigetic. I quickly got dressed in my clothes and went to have breakfast.After Breakfast I had my first lesson!It was on a field of green.We were learning how to use swords.Our instructer told us to get into pairs.I chose Sophie.Then we had to have a swordfight!! I looked at Sophie and charged she made a blow I ducked.I made a blow She just missed.It went on and on like this in till she got distracted and I grabbed her sword out of her hand.I looked around.Everyone was staring at me.My instructer came up to me and said. "How did you do that? Thats one of the best swordplays I ever seen.Given this is your first time I'm gonna say your probrably one of the best in the class."
