Extinction (Hange x reader)

A broken promise

This will not follow the plot of aot :) (it will be a little similar though)

Also, I calculated and I think this fic will be about 30 chapters long :)

Day 6/7

"You got this, princess," Hange said as they pecked my lips one last time and gave me a quick hug before I left with Eren and Mikasa.

"Let's go meet up with Armin, hopefully he already lured Annie,"

"Yes section commander," the boy says softly, his voice trembling a little.

"Eren it will be fine, and call me (Y/N),"

"O-okay (Y/N),"

We met up with Annie and Armin, looks like she agreed which was good.  We quietly walked to our destination, I knew it was going to be a problem to get Annie underground. If it where me I wouldn't go underground either, a place where I wouldn't be able to shift. The streets are eerily quiet and empty. Annie broke the silence, a whisper in my ear.

"You have to come with me, I can take us somewhere safe," she whispered and my eyes widened as I gulped.

"W-what are you even saying?" I said a bit louder causing the three cadets to turn to see us.

She remained quiet until we arrived at the stairs, Armin Mikasa and Eren went in first since me and Annie were behind. Suddenly Annie came to a halt once she realized where we were going.

"What's wrong?" I whispered behind her.

"(Y/N)... you won't be safe if you stay, come to safety with me," she whispered.

"Annie don't tell me you are scared of the underground," Mikasa said from the stairs.

"Maybe I am," Annie said walking backward a little.

"Come on Annie, we have to go!" Armin says, his voice shaky.

"Hey Mikasa, isn't it weird how deserted it is around this usually busy street?"

Their eyes went wide and I could see the cadets were scared. I didn't know what to do I was a few feet from Annie and she spoke to me again.

"Come with me (Y/N), I will keep you safe! I swear, please we need you!"

I was confused and I shook my head no.

"I can't Annie,"

"YOU ARE ONE OF US (Y/N)! Come with me, I will protect you," Annie said extending her hand towards me. I looked up at Hange, who was in one of the roof tops, their eyes filled with tears as they nod their head.

They gave a signal to the other soldiers that were a few buildings back, a sign to come capture Annie.

Hange drops from the building where she was waiting alone. They walk up to me but stay a few feet away.

"Go with her, be safe, you will die here princess. That's the reality," Hange says as their lip trembles.

"I can't leave you, I just got you Hange," I whisper, not sure if they can hear me.

"Maybe in another life, in a world not as cruel as this one,"

"COME ON (Y/N)! THEY ARE ALMOST HERE!" Annie yelled as she looked up to see the soldiers getting closer to us.

"I can't Annie, I would rather die than be without them in this world," I say as I take a few steps away from Annie and towards Hange.

"Princess, please," Hange says looking at me with a sad expression.

"Please go,"

"THERE THEY ARE!" A soldier yelled and Annie quickly shifted using her ring to draw blood, the shift made the soldiers stop running towards us. They were scared, I thought she was going to leave us but she grabbed me in her fist taking me with her. It was dark and I didn't get to say goodbye to Hange.

I yelled and scream trying to get out, the only way I can get out of here is if I shift. I bit my hand drawing blood but nothing happened so I kept bitting and bitting until I was sure there was blood everywhere.

People were yelling and screaming and I may have even heard Eren's titan.

Everything was a blur after that, Annie was captured and so was I, and it is my fault.

Day 7/7

I open my eyes, it is still dark. I am unable to move, my arms and legs restrained. It is cold and I want Hange to be here with me. I need them.

Fear. Not of death itself, more like dying alone, without Hange. I promised them I was going to try to escape, but I can't find the energy to even move.  I wondered if Annie was trying to escape too, it is my fault she got captured. I should've listened to her.

A loud bang startles me from my thoughts and I notice a light approaching the cell I am in. A hooded face appears, part of me hopes it is Hange coming to rescue me. But I know that isn't possible.

"(Y/N) Smith, it has been 7 days and you have yet to prove yourself useful," he said and I winced at the familiarity of the voice. A voice I have heard before. But from where?

"Your execution will take place at dawn," he said setting the lantern on the ground and opening the cell, approaching me.

Fear. Not of the man in front of me but of what he could do to me. I am so vulnerable in this position, restrained and weak. He could do anything he wants to with me. His hand came in contact with my face and I winced.

"You are a very pretty girl, (Y/N), but I think I have told you that many times before haven't I?" The man said as he caressed my cheek and I  tried to pretend it was Hange's hand but theirs was soft and gentle while his was rough.

"Who- who are you?" I gathered the strength to speak.

"Oh, you don't remember me? Can't let you forget of daddy," my eyes went wide in realization. My father? But my father died? What is he doing here? How is he even alive?

"You look surprised, baby,"

"D-don't call me that," I gritted.

So, Erwin lied to me, he made me believe my father was dead but why? Doe he even know our father is alive? All of this happened because of my father's death, but he isn't even dead!

"mmmm you haven't change one bit, you know we aren't really killing you, right?" He said chuckling.

"I have to go baby but it was a pleasure talking to you again, I will be back for your mock execution. You will wish it was a real execution," the old man laughed before exiting the cell and locking it.

I am fucked.
