Chapter 1 - How Is She So Happy?

I hear a beeping noise. I open up my eyes slowly, they are heavy from sleep. I see that the noise is coming from my alarm clock. I sigh, today was the first day of school and I was not looking forward to it. You know how everybody is like 'Its a new year which means its a new beggining' blah blah blah. Yeah well I didnt listen to any of that. To me the new year represented the same annoying people and the same annoying teachers. Nothing new, just same old same old. I dont get what the big deal is.

I hear the doorbell ring. Then it rings again and again. It keeps on ringing till I scream "Im coming". I get out of bed and walk down stairs to the door. I fling it open and standing there is my bestfriend Alesia. She literally jumps on me so I fall over onto the ground with Alesia ontop of me.

"Alesia get off of me" I whin trying to push her off of me. Ofcourse Alesia just ignores me and stays ontop of me hugging me tightly.

"Well thats a nice first day back to school picture". I tense up, I know that voice from anywhere. That stupid annoying voice belongs to Calleb Brown. He is an arrogant jerk and I hate him. Alesia hears his voice and jumps off. I stand up and glare at a shirtless Calleb.

"What do you want" I snap at him. He laughs.

"Calm down Deli im just taking out the trash" He says in that annoying voice of his.

"How about you put a shirt on before you make me blind and dont call me Deli" I say crossing my arms over my chest. He laughs once again. He always seems to be laughing, at me.

"And why not Deli".

I sigh in frustration "Because its the most annoying thing on the planet oh wait thats you" I snap.

"Oh getting sassy are we Deli"

"Shut up Calle" I say in a mocking tone. The grin that was on his face dissapears. He mumbles something and walks back into his house. Not so tuff our we now. I turn around to see Alesia with a dissaproving look on her face.

"What" I ask.

She shakes her head. "I dont see how you dont like him hes amazing" she says daydreaming about something probably Calleb.

"I dont get how you can like him, infact how can anyone like him hes a complete and utter jerk" I say walking into the kitchen. I grab a apple and take a bite out of it.

"Whatever, c'mon we have to go get you ready" she says in a girly tone. I sigh, this was going to be a long day.

"C'mon Deliah you have to like something ive picked out" Alesia says holding out yet another dress. We had been through about 10 dresses and Alesia still didnt get that I dont want to wear a dress.

"Here let me pick something out" I say walking over to my draws. I pick out a singlet with a cardigen to go over. I pick out some denim shorts and go into the bathroom to get changed. I walk out and go and put on my high-top converses.

"Perfect" I say spinning around for Alesia. She sighs.

"Whatever you want Deliah". She walks into the bathroom and comes out with a straightner in hand. I sit down on my desk chair so Alesia can do my hair and makeup. About 30 minutes later Alesia was finally done. I walk over to the mirror and cant help but smile. Alesia has put wavy curls at the bottom of my hair where there is a lighter shade of brown but has left the top half which is a dark brown straight. My makeup is simple and plain, just how I like it. Theres a little bit of foundation but nowhere near cake faced. My eyes have winged eyeliner and some mascarra on them. For my lips its just a nude/pink colour, my favourite Alesia really does know me.

I turn around to face Alesia. Shes smiling at me. I walk over to her a give her a big hug.

"Thanks Alesia" I say pulling away from her.

"No problamo, Liah" she says putting the straightner away. That was Alesias nickname for me, much better then Deli. I mean why would I want to be a tiny little corner shop. Wait I dont want to be Calleb just calls me it to annoy me. Calleb and I had been enemies since the day we met.

Me and my family had just moved into town. Our next door neighbours seemed really nice until I met him. As soon as he met me he was a jerk. Calling me names pulling pranks on me, it never ended. Thats when I decided I would fight back. I pulled pranks on him and started calling him Calle. He hated that name because he said 'Its such a girl name and I hate it, I hate you even more though'. Calleb and I have just kept on fighting from then on. Our parents are basically never home but when they are they try to make us friends and its so annoying, cant they see we hate each other.

Alesia and I walk down stairs and get some toast. We quickly finish off our food and head out the door. We walked over to the bus stop and waited for the bus.

At my school we got allicated seats on the bus. For the first day we got to choose but then we got paired up with someone. They would then be our 'Bus buddies' as the teachers like to call it, for the rest of the year. So far ive gotten sat next to random people I never socialised with before. We didnt talk on the bus I would just listen to music and look out the window.

The bus finally arrived and Alesia and I took a seat at the back. A couple of seconds later Calleb came running out of his house. I shook my head, he always holds the bus up. He climbs onto the bus and glares at me, I glare back. This was normal for us. Calleb then turned to Alesia and smiled warmly at her. Alesia smiled back but I wacked her in the arm. No way would she ever date him, he would just break her heart.

She gave me an apologetic look but kept on staring at Calleb who had taken a seat two seats in front of us. I rolled my eyes. Basically everyone would stare at Calleb. I dont get what the big deal is hes just an arrogant jerk who doesnt care about anyone or anything in the world but himself. God people these days.

The bus ride from then on was quite normal. More people filled the bus until we were finally at school. I braced myself, the first day was always boring and annoying. People trying to talk to you, teachers acting all happy to see us when there dying on the inside and Calleb annoying me. This was going to be 'fun'.

A/N

Hey guys I just wanted to say that this is my first book that ive ever written on WattPad so please dont be too harsh on me. I really like the idea that I have for this book. If anybody else has the same book as me I promise you that this is all me, I thought of it and I thought of how the story will go.

So yeah theres the first chapter I know it was short but it was just giving you guys an idea on the book.
