Chapter 18 - Prom Night Part 2 - The Best Night Of My Life

The gym looked absolutely amazing. Christmas type lights were spread across the room giving it a magical feel. There was people everywhere either dancing, getting a drink from the juice bar, making out with someone or just chilling.

Calleb held my hand again as he navagated us through the crowds. We reached the juice bar and Calleb looked at me. "Would you like anything to drink?" He asked. I nodded my head.

"Yes please can I just get a lemonade"

Calleb nodded and turned to the teacher maintaining the bar. While Calleb was ordering I took another look around. Off to the corner of the gym there was a DJ. Next to that there was the stage were they would announce the prom king and queen. In front of the stage there is a dance floor were many couples were dancing to the rythem of the song that was currently playing.

I turned back to Calleb who had my drink and his own in hand. I grabbed mine and thanked him. We finished of our drinks before we headed to the dance floor. Calleb put his arms around my waist and I put mine around his neck. Although I felt I was going to faint, we slowly moved to the rythem of the song. A slow song was playing and I swear this moment could not get any better.

Calleb smiled and me and I smiled back. His gaze went down to my lips for a second before they met mine again. I felt like everything else faded away as we stared intensly at each other. Every now and then Callebs gave would go to my lips then back up to my eyes. This made me confused until he did something that made my heart stop.

Calleb started slowly leaning in. I copyed his movement. We were inches away when Callebs eyes fluttered closed. Mi e slowly closed as we kept on leaning in. It felt like forever until our lips finally met.

Our lips were in sync with each other as we kissed. If my lips wernt against his right now I would do a fangirl squeal and start running around the room in happiness. Sparks flowed through my body as Calleb pulled me closer to him. I guess this moment could get better.

We pulled apart hesitantly so we could acually breath. I opened my eyes and Calleb and I were back to staring at each other. Im pretty sure I probably looked like an idiot with a big grin on my face but I couldnt help it, and by the looks of it either could Calleb.

We were cut out of our moment when the princable spoke.

"Thankyou all for attending tonight, this is a celebration for growing up, graduating and a break from all the hard work you accomplished this year.

It is now time to announce the prom king and queen, the queen is Alia Springs please come up onto the stage to receive your crown and the king is Scott Preston would you also like to come up please".

Alia and Scott made their way onto the stage. They were given there crown with a big cheer from the crowd. They bowed before making their way down to the dance floor to have their dance. Couples made their way back to dancing.

Calleb grabbed my hand and we continued to dance.

"Do you know how long I have wanted to kiss you?" I chuckled at Calleb.

"Then you should have just done it" I replied.

We continued to dance for a bit in silence before Calleb spoke again.

"Deliah what are we?"

"Were whatever we want to be, were ex-enemies, were bus buddies, were friends, we can be whatever"

Calleb nods at this then smirked. "You forgot something"

"Whats that?"

"Boyfriend and girlfriend?" He said but he acually ment it as a question. I nodded my head.

"Oh yeah forgot about that one" I said. Calleb smiled and kissed me. I instantly reacted and kissed him back.

This night was truly the best night in my life. Why you ask?

Not only are Calleb and I ex-enemies, bus buddies and friends. My dream finally came true, were boyfriend and girlfriend.

But it all started when we got assigned bus buddies.
