Chapter 11 - Hey There Deliah

"You do know basically the whole population of the park is looking at you like your a mad man" I stated. Calleb shrugged and continued singing the song as loud as he could.

We were currently at the park where I had gave Calleb a second chance, he thought it would be funny to sing 'Hey there Deliah' at the top of his lungs. I acually didnt find the song annoying and acually thouht it was quite a good song. Calleb thought it would annoy me to sing it but when it didnt he still didnt stop. He continued singing,

Hey there Deliah I know times are getting hard

but just beleive me girl some day ill pay the bills with this guitar we'll have it good

we'll have the life we knew we would

my word is good

He kept on singing it until I finally joined in singing my lungs out with Calleb. The song finished and we both cracked up laughing. I looked around to see people giving us wierd looks. I saw one women cover her childs eyes and ears, but in response I just rolled my eyes and turned back to Calleb. He gave me a warm smile which made my stomach flutter with butterflies.

I have to admit these past couple of days have been hard especially when Alesia let today but Calleb always made me smile. Thats why he sung for me, to make me happy. And it worked not only did it make me happy but it made me fall even harder for him. I thought it was just a little crush but it has grown from that,

I think im falling for Calleb.

Callebs P.O.V

The smile on her face made me even more happier. When I found out that Alesia moved away I knew I had to make Deliah happy, I cant handle it when shes not happy. Her smile on her face went all the way to her eyes. Those beautiful ocean blue eyes that make my stomach flutter. Yes I think I like Deliah, I dont know how it happened but I just do. I hate myself for it though. No way will she ever like me back, not after how I treated her.

Her hair fell in front of her face as she stood up. Her arm brushed mine which sent sparks up it. God what has Deliah done to me.

"So what shall we do now?" She askes. I shrug and try and think of place to go. It was about 5pm. After school Deliah and I just hung out for a bit then we went to the park. We played 20 questions and I got to know her a bit more.

"How about we go grab something to eat eh?" I ask her. Her face lit up like a light bulb and she grinned.

"Ofcourse" she said starting to walk in a random direction. I laughed then yell out to her.

"You do know the closest restraunt is that way" I say pointing to the opposite direction she was going in. She stopped and turned around blushing, which made her look even cuter than she already is. She started walking in the direction I pointed to not looking at me.

"Aww its okay Deli, you know you look really cute when you blush" I say bitting my lip. Ugh im an idiot why did I acually say that aloud. The compliment made her blush even more. She looked like a tomato.

"Its okay c'mon lets get something to eat" I say walking in the direction of the closest diner. Deliah got her blush under control and started following me. I looked at her once more then smiled.

God Deliah, im falling for you and im falling hard.

We reached the diner. It was acually really cool. The floors were white and red checkered, the tables and booths were also red and white. There was a old jukebox near a stage where a lady about in her thirtys was singing along to the tune. Altogether the diner was a retro theme and was quite neat.

Deliah and I took a seat at one of the booths near the stage. I looked at Deliah, she was looking at the diner in awe.

"This diner is so cool" she said still looking around.

"Yeah its pretty neat" I say looking up to the waiter who was standing there a smile on her face. She looked like she was in her mid 20s.

"Hi how are you my name is Rita and I will be your waitress today are you ready to order?" Rita askes us. I looked at Deliah who nodded.

"Um yes please ill get a hamburger with some fries please" Deliah said smiling. The waitress nodded and wrote Deliahs order on a notepad.

"Yep would you like a drink?"

"Oh yes please ill have a coke" she said placing down her menu. Rita nodded then looked at me.

"And for you?"

"Ill have a piece of pizza with some fries on the side and for a drink ill have some lemonade please" I said placing down my order. Rita nodded and wrote down my order.

"Right ill be back with your drinks shortly" she said walking back into the kitchen. I looked at Deliah to see she was staring at the table with wide eyes.

"Deliah whats wrong" I asked raising one eyebrow at her.

"Sppp-ider" she stuttered. I looked down to see a daddy long legs on the table. I chuckled and scopped it up in my hands.

"Dont worry, it cant hurt you" I said placing the spider on the floor. I watched as it ran away. Deliah let out a sigh next to me.

"Sorry im really scared of spiders" she said shaking her head.

"Its okay we all have fears" I said shrugging.

"Whats your fear?" She asked. I sighed running a hand through my hair.

"My dad" I say in barely a whisper. Its true he is. Ever since I was a child he hurt me. Im terrified of him, but I just deal with it and live with him.

"Im sorry I asked" she said frowning.

"Nah its okay, its not so bad"

"Yes it is, I wouldnt be able to live with a spider so it must be bad living with your dad?" She half stated asked.

"Yeah it is but I deal with it"

Before Deliah can reply Rita gave us our drinks.

"There you go your food will be here shortly" she said. I nodded at her. She turned and walked away. I looked at Deliah. She wanted to ask more but didnt. I gave her a small smile for dropping the conversation. She smiled back and we started to dig into our food.

For the rest of the night we stayed at the diner talking for a bit till I took Deliah home.
