I woke up the next morning and changed extremely quickly. I hurried out of the Big House to the Ares cabin. The Ares cabin was painted red, and it represented Ares and his kids well.

I knocked on the red door, and a boy, a little older than me, opened the door.

"What do you want," he asked, without asking a question. Maybe he thinks it makes him sound cool, but it actually sounds like he's coming down with a cold.

"I want to see Clarisse," I told the kid, and he nodded his head and shut the door in my face.

Moments later, Clarisse appeared at the door. When she saw me, she scowled at me, and asked, "What are you doing here?"

"I need to tell you something," I started. "Leo had a dream-"

"Get on with it," she muttered.

"Leo had a dream about you, me, him, and 2 roman demigods going on a quest. You heard the prophecy, right?" I pulled out Harpe, my sword, and started playing with it.

"Gaea rising in the south

The earth's daughter,

dead by her mouth. Yeah, I know it." Clarisse scowled. "And how does that involve you?"

"Because, uh, I can explain on the way," I told her. "Anyways, are you going to go on the quest?"

"Wait," Clarisse said, still trying to figure out who Gaea's daughter is. "Is Gaea's daughter one of the Roman demigods?"

"Maybe," I told her. "But are you going on the quest or no?" When she hesitated, I tried to persuade her. "If you destroy Gaea, the Ares cabin could get even more fame."

Clarisse sighed. "I guess I'll go, but if I die it's your fault." She walked back into the Ares cabin while I was grinning triumphantly behind her. I then turned and walked towards the Hephaestus cabin.

"So you're telling me," Leo said. "That when I died to stop Gaea, it was for nothing?! And now you want me to probably die again stopping her?!"

I rolled my eyes. "Yup. So will you?"

"Only if you promise me that next time we do Capture the Flag, you're on my team," Leo replied.

"Done," I told him. "We should leave to go to Camp Jupiter in an hour or so."

Leo nodded his head and went back into the Hephaestus cabin. I turned and walked back to the Big House.

When I got to the Big House, Chiron was standing on the porch. He was frowning, which meant something was wrong, which isn't surprising.

"What is it?" I asked when I walked up the stairs. He frowned and started playing with his hair nervously.

"There are three Roman demigods here," he told me. "They said that they are carrying a message to give to the daughter of the earth, but I think that they are eidolons. We already have Piper here, ready to use charmspeak, but we wanted to know what they want to tell you first. So be prepared."

"Eidolons?" I asked. I hadn't taken any of the Greek classes yet, so all I knew about greek mythology was from my own classes at my old school, which don't seem 100 percent accurate.

"They can possess people, and usually have golden eyes," Chiron told me. His tail was swishing nervously. "but I don't know why they would come into demigod territory, just to deliver a message."

I bit my lip. "What happens when you stab the person who's possessed? Will that kill the eidolon and the person, or just the person?"

"Probably just the person, because the eidolon can go to another object or person, and then all you have is a dead demigod." He looked me straight in the eyes. "We have spent too long talking. You go inside, and remember what I told you."
