A/N: I tried to make macaque a little less OOC, so if he sounds like he did a full 180 in personality, it's because he did lmao.

Macaque snickered as he watched you struggle to open a can of bubble tea. It wasn't that hard, you were just being dramatic. Also, it hurt your fingers. After a bit of trial and error, you huffed and put the can down. You and Macaque were outside of your job, sitting at a table in front of the restaurant. It was your break, so he decided to drop by. Macaque looked at you with an eyebrow raised and his head cocked to the side. He was wearing his signature sly smile and a smug face to match.

"Do you need help?"

"Wha- You just sat there and watched me struggle for 5 whole minutes!"

"It was funny," he shrugged.

You pouted and looked the other way, mumbling a small 'yeah, I need help.'

He grabbed the can and opened it with ease, much to your embarrassment.

"Dude, if opening a can of bubble tea is that hard for you, then you need to go to the gym more often."

"It wasn't hard! It just hurt my fingers! And the can was too cold to hold."

"Whatever you say, dude."

You snatched the can of bubble tea from him, and he laughed a bit loudly. You huffed and checked your watch, putting the drink back down next to you.

"Oh, Snapple! I gotta get back to work, sorry, Macaque."

"Pfft- you act like I can't just walk into your job."

"Oh yeah-"

"Y/N get in here!"

You turned around and saw Tim poking his head out of the door to the shop. Giggling, you waved at him. You turned around to Macaque and said a quick goodbye, running back into the store. He laughed and ran a hand through his hair. He looked over to the seat you had occupied and saw your bubble tea. Of course, you left it. He shrugged and grabbed the can. He was planning on going inside anyway.

When he entered the small restaurant he saw you and 3 other people skating around with a tray of food in your hands. He walked over to a table and took a seat, putting your drink in front of him and putting his arm behind his head. Meanwhile, on the other side of the restaurant, you handed a couple of people their food. You forgot it was rush hour, so you came in completely unprepared. You wiped beads of sweat from your forehead and looked for any customers who might need help. Then your eye landed on a certain black-haired monkey.

You rolled your eyes and smiled, skating right over.

"Hey, Macaque! I guess I'll be your waitress today." you chortled.

He let out a breathy laugh and handed you your Bubble Tea,

"You're pretty forgetful, Y/N." he winked, and you tilted your head. Welp, that one went right over you.

"Oh! I guess I did forget this! Thanks! Now, what do you want to drink?"

"I'll have some coffee."

You made a grossed-out face and stuck out your tongue before writing it down. Macaque raised an eyebrow at this.

"What? What's wrong with coffee??" he questioned, genuinely confused.

"Nothing, it's just so... nasty! Like, it's so bitter and gross! Blegh."

He rolled his eyes and smiled. Of course, you didn't like coffee.

"What would you recommend?"

You raised your bubble tea in front of his face and shook it.

"Alright, I'll get a bubble tea then."

You nodded and skated off to make his order. He watched you skate off, smiling mischievously in your direction. He wasn't being weird or anything, his smile just looked mischievous, that was all. After a while, you returned with his drink in hand. He chuckled and scratched the back of his neck,

"Y'know, I just thought about it and I've never had bubble tea."

"YOU WhAT-"

"I know! It's weird right?" he interrupted you before you could finish.

"Yeah! It is! But, don't worry, you won't regret it."

You grinned at him and he smiled back. He picked up the bubble tea to drink, but before he could even get it close to his face, someone interrupted.

"Oi! I ordered my food way before he did! Where is my food?!"

You whipped your head around to see the source of the voice. Behind you was a man with messy blonde hair and matching stubble. He stood in front of you, giving you daggers. You recovered from your shock and smiled at him,

"I apologize, sir! Seeing as you ordered food and he only ordered a drink, it'll take a bit for your food." you almost cringed at the words coming out of your mouth. That sounded way too formal.

"I want my food now! It's been 20 minutes!"

"Sir, I'm sorry but-"

"You tryna keep my food away from me?!"

He raised his fist to punch you. You covered your face and prepared for the impact, but it never came. You looked up and saw Macaque standing in front of you, his hand in front of the man's fist. He was smirking, as always, and looking dead at the man.

"Move it, Curious George! This ain't your business!"

"Actually, It is. You're harassing my friend here, and I don't appreciate it." Macaque was still smirking, but he was annoyed.

The man pushed Macaque back and he stumbled a bit. Macaque raised his fist, but then Tim came in.

"Alright, alright. Do we need to escort you two?" he asked calmly, cigarette between his teeth as always.

The blonde man scoffed walking back to his seat, grumbling. Tim looked back at you, and you waved your hand reassuringly. He smiled and nodded before going back to the 'Employees Only' room. You looked back at Macaque, who had sat back down.

"Thanks for that, Macaque." you gave him a warm smile, and he returned it.

"No problem," He looked outside the window next to the booth he was sitting in and looked back at you.

"But, I need to get going. I'll see you later, Y/N."

Before you could respond, though, he had walked out the door.

Macaque sat down on his bed and looked at the bubble tea on his nightstand. He smiled and picked it up, taking a sip of the drink.

"Heh, this is pretty good."
