A/N: This is based on my own experience, so I apologize if some things seem out of character for you. I don't really know how I feel about this chapter lmao.

======

Macaque watched as you squealed and jumped around. It was very entertaining if he was being honest. After you two had McDonald's two weeks ago, he had been coming to your house and insisting that you two go out to celebrate. Celebrate what? You didn't know, but you were still excited. Of course, you had been to the arcade before, you'd just never been to it with a friend. There were very few games you hadn't played, and if you haven't gone to an attraction, it was only because you were scared. But, now that Macaque was here, he could help you face your fears! Just the thought made you ecstatic.

Seeing you like this made Macaque smile, it was good you were this hyped up. Maybe now that he had taken you out, he'd be able to trust you with his plan. Macaque shook his head, trying to get rid of the thought. The last time he trusted someone, it didn't end well. You never know what kind of people are hiding behind a mask until they take it off. Most mortals wore masks, and sometimes the person hiding beneath it wasn't bad, but other times... his mind drifted off to his last friend. You weren't the same as him, right? Macaque looked at you, trying to see past your innocent persona.

You were cooing at a small butterfly on your finger. This made a ghost of a smile appear on Macaque's face. Maybe you weren't so bad. But he had only known you for about a month, so there was no need to try and make such assumptions. Finally, you both stood at the entrance to the oh-so-popular arcade. You wrapped both of your hands around Macaque's arm and squeezed it, shaking him a bit.

"Macaque! Oh my gosh, we're here! What should we do first?!" you squealed. Macaque chuckled, pushing your hands off of his arm.

"Haven't you been here before?" he cocked his eyebrow at you, and you grinned at him.

"Well, yeah! But, I've never been here with a friend before, so now it's better!" he didn't know why, but that made him feel special.

"That makes sense, I guess, now let's get inside." he nodded towards the door, opening it for you. You giggled and thanked him before walking inside.

Once inside, you grinned and spun around, taking in the familiar surroundings. Macaque only rose his eyebrows and smiled. He was impressed by the size and tech contained within the building. His eyes widened when he felt something latch onto his hand. His eyes darted over to you. Yep, you were holding his hand. Now don't get me wrong, Macaque is most certainly touch-starved, but man, were you touchy. You gasped and pointed in the direction of the Anti-Gravity machine,

"Macaque, look! Let's go get on it!"  before he could respond, he was dragged over to the machine.

You popped two quarters into the slot of the machine and walked onto the green mat. Macaque followed you, confused. But, not even two seconds after he stepped on the mat, he began floating. He began flailing around, he wasn't prepared. Once he finally got himself composed, he looked over at you to see how you were doing. Wow. You looked like a little olympian right now. You didn't need his help. You looked over at Macaque and waved him over. He smiled and rolled his eyes, floating over to you.

"Yeah, Y/N-" he flinched when you grabbed his hands. What were you trying to do?

Macaque let out the tiniest ghost of a gasp as you began to spin him around. After a while though, he began laughing. This was a lot more fun than he thought it would be. Soon, the machine turned off, and you and Macaque walked off of the green mat. Macaque wouldn't admit it, but he totally wanted to do that again. He directed his attention to you when he heard a loud gasp. He was getting used to it. You pointed over to the Laser Tag Area.

"Macaque! Let's go play laser tag!"

"You've probably played laser tag billions of times-" your sudden change of aura made him stop mid-sentence, "Right?" he asked.

You blushed wildly and waved your hands around in embarrassment,

"THE ONLY REASON I HAVEN'T PLAYED IS THAT I WAS SCARED THAT PEOPLE WOULD TRAMPLE ME!" you cried.

Macaque burst out laughing, and you were pretty close to dying of embarrassment.

=====

After that embarrassing moment, you two made your way over to the Laser Tag Area. You had both been assigned to opposite teams, Macaque on Red and you on Blue.

"I won't hesitate to destroy you, Macaque!"

"Same goes for you, N/N."

A screen mounted on a nearby wall interrupted your playful banter.

"Please do not run, climb, or jump during the game. Remember, if you get shot you are out."

The employee ushered you all into the play area, the Blue team on one side and the Red on the other. You hid behind a wall and prepared yourself.

3...

Macaque's tail swayed. He already had a plan.

2...

You loaded your weapon and took your stance.

1...

Macaque smirked and readied himself.

GO!

Of course, Macaque went against the rules and took off. He knew he was at an advantage here, he had quicker reflexes. His ear perked up and he spun around, shooting a man's vest. He didn't stick around to hear him whine and darted off into the maze. This was gonna be fun.

Meanwhile, you were still where you started. So far, you were doing great. Anyone who came by you would shoot, and if multiple people came by, you would just push them. Simple. Now, I know it sounds like camping, but you didn't have a lot of agility so what were you supposed to do? Your reflexes weren't as quick as everybody else's, so you had no choice but to pick this strategy. You were reloading your weapon, but stopped when you heard footsteps. Someone was here. You quieted your breaths and listened to the footsteps. You recognized that pattern. It was Macaque.

The footsteps stopped. You waited for a bit before poking your head out of your hiding spot. Nothing. You almost sighed in relief, but your breath hitched as you were pinned against a wall. You looked up and your eyes met his. He was wearing his signature smirk.

"I've got you cornered N/N.," he said mischievously. He was right. You needed to do something quickly. Macaque seemed too distracted by looking at you, so you took this opportunity to shoot the large circle in the middle of his vest. A loud Game Over echoed around the maze. You smirked and winked at him,

"I win."
