Now, I know this might never happen (I'll explain why I technically don't want it to happen next chapter) but I don't know, I feel like us as a fandom should make a contest to see who can develop the best male love interest for Ricky. I don't know, this is really stupid but I just thought of it since so many fans are developing male love interests for him (I personally want EJ to be his, but you know...Portwell). And if we do a contest on every social media/fanfic platform (main ones being Tumblr, Insta, Wattpad, AO3), it could keep the HSMTMTS hashtag alive, thus probably greenlighting season 3 quicker.
