♥ ~ Ricky Shouldn't Have a BF

Now before y'all have my head on a stake, hear me out. If Ricky ever got a boyfriend on the show or came out as bi or whatever sexuality, Disney wouldn't greenlight that (because they're homophobic performative activists who suck). It's why Seblos as a couple and as characters don't get screentime and that's exactly why Nini's moms barely pop up. If they do, they aren't together. It's also why they only say the word "Gay" once, and when referring to the word, they use "Drag Race Canada" as a replacement. 

Now, if somehow Tim does God's work and convinces Disney to have Ricky become the bicon he deserves to be, him and his partner wouldn't be together on screen as much as the fandom would like, even if in this context they would be a main couple. Not to mention, Ricky just got over Nini and is chasing after Lily right now. He needs therapy before he needs a love interest, you know? 

As much as it pains for me to think this way (because I genuinely think that Josh deserves to have his character be queer, being a queer person himself), Disney's never gonna let it happen because they care about the money rather than people's happiness. This also goes for all of us who want EJ/Gina/Red/Kourt to be Bi and for Ash/Nini to be Pan.

Personally I think that Ash, Red, and Ricky's sexualities should reflect off of their actors in some sort of way because of the meta-ness that this show has (actual examples being Nini's season 2B arc, EJ becoming Matt pretty much, Franklin appearing in season 2A). But that's that on that.
