i open the doors of the studio revealing jaden on the couch scrolling through his phone. i sigh in frustration, i've been trying to avoid jaden so i don't fall at his feet but he's everywhere i go.
he has the same friends as me, the same interest and goes to the same studio as me.we are connected in every way possible, i hate it as much as i love it. "hey j." i greet the boy, he looks up from his phone as smiles at me.
jaden stood up, wrapping his arms around me and i did the same.the hug was longer than it was supposed to be, it's as if none of us can let go. we wanted to be near each other as much as we wanted to be away. but one way of another we'd get pulled back like a magnet. like a drug.
i buried my head into his neck, i felt so safe around him. i never wanted to let go, and i also hated it because mads was everything to me too. "so when are we going to let go?" my voice muffled against his skin. i hear him slightly laugh. we then pull away, still close to one another.
our eyes were speaking for us, we were both leaning in until we heard a thump. we both quickly stepped back from each other, clearing our throat. one kiss could've ruined everything going for us. one kiss that could easily be turned into a drug.
one kiss we both yearned for.
"what was it?" i ask jaden, he turned around to face me. he shrugged as his facial expression showed lots of confusion. "what was that sound then if there's nothing that fell?"
"we must be high." jaden laughed, i shook my head slightly as i giggled along with him. we both fell silent still dwelling on the fact we almost kissed. when people would say two people can be so close but yet worlds apart, i always thought it made no sense. but now i'm actually experiencing it, it makes perfect sense.
we both are looking for something we can never have because of our surroundings.
"when are you dropping counting crimes?" jaden finally spoke up, sitting down on the couch next to me. soft r&b songs were playing in the background. we sat close finally getting over the awkwardness.
"tomorrow night, on friday." i tell him, he asked if i'm going out for the release night and i nod. "wanna come?" i turn to him, raising my eyebrow.
he smiles at me as he nods, "of course. you can't go a day without seeing me." jaden smirks.
i roll my eyes then made a face, "that's corny."
he chuckles before responding, "but it's true." i don't deny it, it's true in a way. "wanna go on a late drive again?" he suggested, i furrowed my brows.
"..mads and josh..?" i question. his eyes shift directly looking at mine, which was enough to make my heart beat faster than it was before.
"what about them?" he shrugs, "we aren't dating them anymore they can't really say shit to us."
i nod, sighing. "okay then..let's go." i smile. we enter his car. quickly the day grew dark and we were still out. eating in&out in the car as we listened to all types of music.
it was until midnight at 2:40 am we got tired. it was to late to drive home so we reclined the chairs of the car back, quickly falling asleep.
everything about us was so fitting, we had all the qualities of a relationship. it just wasn't at the right time at all, mads and josh would get deeply hurt, social media would bring hell upon us from betraying them both.
i think it's clear that jaden has feelings for me, a blind person themselves can see that. i'm pretty sure myself he knows i have feelings for him too but he's ignoring them on purpose.
so many things can keep us apart but we both know we'd always be right next to each other; an addiction with no cure.
