I read To Kill a Mockingbird for the first time a while ago and absolutely adored it, to the point I (embarrassingly) had a small emotional attachment to the story. I soaked up any and all TKAM content I could find, and was elated when I found the sequel. Much to my dismay, it was nothing like the original, I won't say why for those who haven't read it, but it was highly disappointing, which I suppose it to be expected of anything following such a monumentally historic book. I'm rewriting the story (Go Set a Watchman) in the way I envisioned the sequel to be. I hope you enjoy :)
