"Here," Dani passed me her milkshake. "Drink this and walk over to them. Say hi. Wink a bit. Laugh at whatever he says."

"I am not doing that. You're crazy," I laughed.

"It's now or never, Lissie. Do it," Bree said.

"Guys, if she doesn't..." Elijah started.

"No, stop talking. Lissie's gonna do it," Bree declared.

I sighed and stood up. I looked over at Asher, who was in a deep conversation with Dixie, then sat back down.

Bree rolled her eyes and squeezed my hand. "Listen to me. This is the way to get rid of Dixie. Once and for all. We're best friends, so I've got your back. Win over Asher, play the best game, and we'll emerge as champions. Okay?"

I stood up again and started to slowly walk towards them. I put the straw in my mouth and looked right at them. Dixie immediately noticed me and stared. I reached where Asher was standing and tapped his shoulder.

What was I doing?

"Oh, hey..." he said, looking me up and down.

"Hey," I waved, still drinking the milkshake.

Dixie smirked at me. "What on earth are you doing?"

"Nothing," I smiled innocently.

"Right, you are doing nothing. So leave," she snickered.

"Be nice?" Asher warned. Aw... that was sweet of him.

With one last look at Dixie, I turned around and started to walk back to my seat.

Too late. I tripped.

Not only did I fall face first on the floor, the milkshake had spilled. All. Over. Me.

"Are you okay?"

I turned my head and found myself face to face with a worried looking Asher.

"Yeah," I started laughing. "I'm good. Thanks."

Bree, Dani, and Elijah all came over to me.

"Ohmygosh! Lissie, let's get you home," Dani exclaimed, helping me up.

"I'll clean up," an employee offered. I thanked her and hobbled away, linking arms with Bree and Dani.

Oh gosh. That was so embarrassing.
