The Accident

08:00 hours before the wedding
"God I can't believe I'm so nervous" "you'll do fine uncle Luci" 5 year old Lucius walks in wearing a tux running up to Luciano giving him a big hug "hey what are you doing here where are your parents?" He asked curiously but smiling. "They are in Turin with aunty and Ashley's parents" he stops to think for a second  "what about Ashley" "she was brought here with me why" "hang on a second okay I gotta check something real quick" he puts Lucius down pulls his cellphone out and calls up Athena only to be sent straight to voicemail, he calls up his brother same result until 5 of his men bursts through the door completely breathless "boss we need to talk" "is it important?" "Very sir" okay you two on the right take the kids to the kitchen and give them some ice cream" both Ashley and Lucius's eyes beam up like the Fourth of July "ice cream yay" they both say in unison. Luciano grabs Lucius by the shoulder and tells him to watch over Ashley with those two in the kitchen. "You got it uncle Luciano, I won't let you down" "good boy now go" the doors close behind Lucius as he catches up with Ashley and the two men working with Luciano meanwhile back in Luciano's office. "Are you certain of this cause if it is true we need to warn my brother" "it's already too late Luciano we tried to get there on time but we were too late" "what do you mean you were too late" "your fiancé, your brother and his wife, and Ashley's parents were killed in a violent car crash just on the edge of Turin, I'm sorry Luciano" his heart sank as he was just processing all of this feeling all of the memories flash from when he first met his fiancé to the good and bad times him and his older brother had and the advice that he always told him. "Cherish every moment you have with the people you love because life has a funny way of changing that in the end".
"Luciano what do you want us to do?" "Tell nothing to my goddaughter and nephew, I'll be the one to break the news to them just not now" "uncle Luci what's wrong why are you crying". Lucius walks in as Luciano notices that he's a spitting image of his older brother. "Nothing is wrong buddy it's just right now mom and papa had to go do something important and wanted me to watch over you both okay" he hugs Lucius tightly trying not to cry. "I promise you guys will be safe with me until they return". Ashley hugs Luciano as well knowing something is wrong. "Are mommy and daddy ever coming back" "yes my little rose they will be coming back just not right now okay, hey how about we all watch a movie"
Lucius and Ashley are already in the movie room before he finishes. "Not a word to these two innocent children okay" they nod their heads sitting down with the kids holding full buckets of freshly made all natural popcorn sharing with the two of them. While they're occupied with the movie Luciano calls up the escorts that were with his familia and friends. "What happened and why are they dead they're supposed to be here" "awww sorry your escort can't come to the phone right now Luci, I told you I'd find a way to rip that sensitive heart out and guess what I've succeeded" insane laughter is heard from the other side of the phone. "Okay who the fuck is this, tell me now or I'll". He's deliberately cut off. "Or else you'll what Luciano, I told you I'd kill off your family now you're the only one left to die". "You will pay for this Alessandro mark my words". "Oh will I now we'll see about that in a few years".
