Lucius's POV
"Uncle Luciano is there anything you'd like me to do at all today?" "Just go and relax, hang out with Ashley if you'd like." "Uncle that's not funny." "She's your best friend dumbass, go hang out with her." "I will when she comes back uncle Luci, she went out to do some errands." Luciano gave me a concerned look then went back to looking through some paperwork while I walked back to my room sitting in front of my desk writing in my diary.

The days have gone by pretty fast since our flight from Iverness took 7 hours to get back home, as to say we slept through the majority of that flight. But when I woke up Looking at how strong and beautiful Ashley has become I've grown to love her more every time I see her and I'm afraid to lose her. I know I probably sound selfish just for writing this but I'm scared to lose her, she's my best friend and she's been there for me since day one. But now I feel like uncle Luciano is hiding something from both of us, perhaps it is something important. Only time will tell what will happen but for now I want to express how much I love Ashley, she's my world, every time she smiles at me my heart flutters and every time she leaves my heart aches for her to stay, if this isn't love then I don't know what is. I just want her to be my one and only and I her one and only. After what happened in Scotland between me and her there's no telling what she feels for me but for now I need to put on a brave face and protect her and uncle Luciano.

After I finished writing in my diary I felt tears coming down my cheeks soaking the page that I've filled with handwriting, tears that I haven't let out in a long time. I still remember the last thing my father told me the night before the crash. We had an argument because I wanted to go with them but in the end it was to no avail, me being all pouty while they got ready early in the morning then being cheered up by Ashley that day.
Life has a funny way of taking people away from me which is why I shut people out maybe I don't deserve her but maybe I do.

Before Lucius could compose himself  the door was forced open by Ashley who was fuming in anger with a smile. "There you are Luci, I've been looking for you." She walks over with a scary and dominant aura to his desk. "You know I missed you but I also hate you for making me feel this way." "I don't know what you're talking about, you're my best friend since day one ash if there's nothing you want to talk about then leave, but if you want to talk about feelings I'm willing to listen." "That's not what I'm here for." She exclaims as she stares down into his dark brown eyes and he stares back with tear streaks on his cheeks. "Have you been crying Luci, is there something wrong can I help.?" "You would've helped a long time ago but you reject how I feel about you, I don't wanna lose you ash." "I don't wanna lose you either but we live in a dangerous world Lucius, how do you think I feel having to watch my own back and knowing I'm the baddest hitwoman out here huh, go ahead ask me." "Look your job and love life don't compare okay." She gets on her knees caressing his cheeks while admiring his eyes cooing at him as he breaks down "shhh it's okay Luci I'm here for you okay, it's gonna be okay." "It's not fair to me Ashley it's not." He breaks down in tears as Ashley hugs him comforting him with her motherly side as Luciano walks in with a smile seeing his nephew in tears hugging Ashley as she calms him down. "Everything is gonna be okay Lucius I promise." "Pinky promise?" He looks at her with pleading eyes which makes her melt inside while she gives him a big smile. "Pinky promise." Luciano clears his throat. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything but Ashley and Lucius you're needed in the briefing room for an assignment." 

Luciano's POV
I know I've been hard on Lucius for a while but sometimes he has to learn certain things. I'm starting to wonder what exactly happened back in Scotland between the two of them, maybe they became rivals or lovers who knows.
"Sir, we got a new deal with some business in Switzerland." "Thank you for letting me know, did they say where the meeting will take place?" "In the Walliserhof Hotel a month from now at 20:00." "I'll have Lucius and Ashley come with me to secure it." "They were quite persistent to just have you come but they will make an exception with you madame Fradella and Mr. Vincenzo." "Good I'll see to it that I tell them."
My secretary leaves the office before I walk towards my nephews office and give in the news but before I walk in I hear him breathing heavily and Ashley telling him everything's gonna be okay but once I open the door there they both were, hugging each other while she was comforting him wiping away his tears.
I clear my throat after they're done. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything bu Ashley and Lucius you're needed in the briefing room for a new assignment follow me." I walk over to the briefing room after telling them as they walk behind me keeping up with my pace. "So uncle Luci, what's the new assignment you have for us this time?" "You'll see in due time Lucius." "Sounds good." I open the door and several of my men are there prepping the details pulling up the map. "Luciano." I give a nod. "From the look of things Ashley, Lucius you both are going with Luciano to handle some business in Switzerland." "Ash uncle Luci where is it gonna be?" "Walliserhof hotel and don't worry you both are sharing a room so." Ashley interrupts. Wait why do I have to share a room with Lucius?" "I guess to get used to sharing the same bed I mean why not Ash, we used to do that all the time." "Fine just this once." She pokes Lucius's chest, but if you try something on me, anything, I'm gonna fucking kill you." "Won't hurt until I try beautiful." He winks at her smiling. "Break it up you two." "Asshole ."
"Look the only reason why Lucius is there with us both is to protect us both okay, now let's go eat I'm starving already."
They all join around sitting down eating Luciano's homemade Lasagna. "You really outdone yourself boss, the lasagna is killer." "Indeed it is now enjoy it." "How can you make such delicious food." "It's all in the skill."
The night grows darker as everyone finishes their food while Ashley and Lucius take a walk in the courtyard together.

Ashley's POV
So many things run through my head and thinking what could possibly happen between Luci and I is not one of them. I can't think of another man who would make me happier than him but lately I've been noticing whenever I go through any neighboring cities for some clothes there's always romans watching from the distance. I want to confess to Lucius about how much I love him but I can't bring myself to do it yet not until my birthday. Dammit just looking into his eyes makes me melt and want him more I need to get a firm grasp of myself before anything happens but for now it's just business. Staring at his muscular toned figure as we walk together on the courtyard makes me wonder what I should do, should I just kiss him or talk to him. "So about what happened in your office, are you sure you're okay Luci?"
"Yeah I'm fine now, thanks for asking ash." He grins at me. "Did you have something you wanna ask?" "No not in particular but thanks for asking ash." His eyes shine like the stars every time he stares into mine with a hint of sadness. "It's just nice out so I figured why not take a walk." "O okay yeah sure." I stutter a bit causing him to laugh. "What's so funny Luci?" "Nothing just you being adorable is funny and cute." "Wanna test that theory?" He's caught off guard as he thinks I'm about to hit him but instead I kiss him deeply making him just be out of words as he's completely flustered. "Luci, Just remember not to mess up next time okay." "O okay I will." "Good boy." I walk away leaving Lucius still confused on how I feel about him and run into Luciano who happened to have a hit list job for me. "Here's the target I need him dead before the 1st of august okay and please make it look more like an accident." "Don't worry Luciano you can count on me." "Good cause Lucius is seeing you off by leaving you at the familia's private jet in the airport."
