As you enter the front door of your apartment, you can't help but feel lonely. Your mom is a single mother who is constantly out working. You hated feeling lonely, but you understood why she was rarely ever home.
Just a few years after you were born, your father left you and your family. You never knew why he left, but your mother always told you not to blame yourself for it. You were young when he left, so you never built up a relationship with your father.
It rarely ever bothered you though. Growing up you had the kindest mother who always took good care of you and your sister. So as far as you were concerned, you didn't need a father figure in your life.
After grabbing a snack from the kitchen, you made your way into your room. It was quite late at night and your mother had yet to arrive. She usually comes home in time for dinner, but today she seemed to be running late.
There were often days where she worked over time an hour or two, so you didn't let her absence affect you very much.
You closed your bedroom door behind you before turning on your computer. After letting Netflix load up, you began snacking on your chips.
