It was 3:20 PM, ten minutes before the end of the school day, and you were sitting at your table in Chemistry. Sasha had been frantically filling out assignments a few minutes prior, but had just finished completing her final assignment.

"I'm done!" She exclaimed, an audible sigh of relief exiting her mouth.

You smiled. "Good job."

"Anywayssss," she hummed, elongating her response. "How have things been with Hange?"

"Oh yeah, I've been wondering what happened to them." Ymir chimed in.

"Right? Whenever I see them in the hallway, they're always so... on edge?" Historia added.

You reached into the pocket of your pants and grabbed your phone. Your friends watched eagerly as you unlocked your phone. You opened your Messages app and scrolled to Hange's name. It had been a long time since you checked their texts, so even you were uncertain of what it would say.

After finally finding their contact, you opened your texts with Hange. Your face was as blank as a brand new canvas as your eyes aimlessly wandered across the screen. Upon opening the messages, no emotions arose. It was as if the conflict with Hange had stretched on, and rather than the initial sadness that had been inflicted on you, it left behind a feeling of numbness.

It stung like a bee in the middle of a blazing summer, but you always tried your best to shrug it off. Many weeks ago, Sasha had told you that you ran away from your problems a lot. She claimed that you ignore your problem and bury them away. Though you didn't believe it at first, her claim was slowly starting to become more and more like the truth.

After all... if I pretend as though those feelings never existed, I wouldn't have to deal with them. Right?

You turned your phone, the bright screen lighting up your friends' faces as you allowed them to read the messages. Their eyes shifted across the screen, carefully inspecting every character that Hange had sent you.
