- CALCULUS -

"Hey Y/N" Armin shouted from across the classroom. You flashed him a smile as you made your way to your table.

"How's it going?" you asked as you took your seat. The first quarter had just ended, meaning today was your first day of quarter two. Report cards came in the mail over the weekend, so everyone just got hit with reality.

For the seniors, everyone's best efforts were being put into ensuring that they would have enough credits to graduate.

"Pretty good. Did you see your report card?" he asked in response. You fumbled through your backpack in a search for your calculus notes.

"Yeah I did. I got all A's!" you exclaimed out of pride. Armin smiled as you continued to rummage through your stuff.

"That's great. I'm proud of you!" Armin said.

"All thanks to your help during calculus," you chuckled.

After all, that's how the two of you met in the first place. He saw you struggling on a problem and quickly stepped in to help you out. Ever since then, the two of you got close.

"Anyways, what about you? Proud of your grades?"

"Yup. All A's!" he responded, his voice enthusiastic.

You were about to speak up again, but you were suddenly interrupted by the sound of the loud school bell. The bell rang, signaling that it was time for class to start.

Your teacher quickly began his lecture. You tuned in, attentively taking notes as he continued on with his lesson.

- 15 minutes later -

"Okay everyone. Please complete the practice problems on the board before class ends. Anything you don't finish will be homework." Your teacher announced, concluding his lesson.

The sound of shuffling papers immediately filled the large room as all the students quickly began getting to work. You brought your pencil to the paper, copying the first problem onto your paper.

"Hey did you hear?" Armin whispered. You lifted your head to face him, a curious look plastered on your face as you waited for him to speak up.

"Eren's thinking about throwing a party."

You raised an eyebrow, Eren's never mentioned throwing a party before.

"No I haven't." you said as you continued working on the first problem.

"He's only mentioned it a few times. His parents are going to be out during winter break, so he's thinking about throwing a party!" Armin exclaimed, excited about the party.
