The colors in the sky shifted from a dark purple into a deep, midnight black. The two of you had been sitting at that bench for nearly 2 hours, and it was only when Hange disappeared into the poorly lit night, that you finally realized how late it was getting.
"Hey, it's really dark out now." Hange said, gathering your attention. "Do you want to come over to my house? I can take you to school tomorrow!"
You nodded in agreement. "Sure, that sounds fun."
The two of you instantly stood up from the bench, leaving behind the sparkly blue lake that you had been sitting by for the past few hours.
Once again, you walked down that same gravel pathway. The light emitted from the moon illuminated the path ever so slightly, and the stars overhead sparkled even brighter.
