There was a new motive presented to the students here at their deadly killing game.
A disease.
To be more specific;
The Hanaki Disease.
"That's- just- unnecessary!"
Makoto lashed out.
"Phu phu~ like your usual going Hanaki, those here with a secret lil crush shall be victim~! And surprisingly, there's a LARGE handful of you that will be!"
Monokuma laughed evilly.
"They will slowly bleed internally, getting worse over time. If someone isn't murdered in 50 hours, aka 2 days, the victims will DIE from blood loss!!!"
"So have a large number of students die if one or two aren't sacrificed? No matter what people will die?"
Kyoko asked, oddly calmly.
"Mhm!"
The boy agreed.
"N-n-no matter w-what...someone h-has to d-d-die..!"
Took stammered.
"What-?! That's unfair!"
Makoto continued to argue.
"Too bad!"
Monokuma teased.
"This is...horrible.."
Kiyotaka murmured.
"Pft, stupid of those people to catch feelings while in a killing game."
Mondo mentioned to his friend.
"Bro, don't be so harsh! People cannot control these feelings!"
Taka budded in.
"Fair point..."
Mondo murmured.
"Well, no matter what, people here are doomed."
Byakyua spat out with vemon.
"Unfortunately.."
Celeste added in.
The room was left in confusion and fear, while the bear slipped away into the shadows of the school.
A handful of students were victimized to this motive, but one of them fretted it the most.
The students split up for the rest of the day, doing their own things.
Before nighttime, Taka stopped by the kitchen.
He was at the counter, waiting for the kettle to be done boiling water.
He had been on his toes for the whole day, Mondo found it odd.
So, Taka split off from the boy for a moment to try and calm his nerves.
But he had an unexpected guest.
"Here for a weapon?"
A sly voice cooned.
Taka flinched.
"N-no-! I'm just boiling some water for tea-!"
He tried defending himself.
"What a coincidence, I came in her for tea as well."
Celeste added, heels clicking as they stepped towards the prefect.
He felt oddly uncomfortable in the woman's presence.
"Though, if you plan on killing tonight, I promise I won't tell."
She giggled.
Kiyotaka couldn't tell if she was being truthful or just teasing.
The two finished their business in uncomfortable silence.
He then quickly ran off after finishing his cup.
After he left the dining hall, he came across Mondo.
"Bro!"
He chimed.
"Oh, heya man!"
Mondo smiled towards his friend.
"Sorry for leaving you there, but I'm done now!"
He chuckled awkwardly.
"No worries, bro!"
Mondo reassured.
The night time announcement played and the two headed towards their dorms.
"Taka, can I ask ya favor?"
Mondo mumbled.
Taka made a noise of interest.
"Can I uh...stay in your dorm tonight..?"
He scratched the back of his neck nervously.
"Oh- I don't mind!"
He agreed.
Mondo smiled, chuckling.
"Thanks!"
The boys then both went into Kiyotaka's dorm.
"Thanks for letting me stay, bro."
The biker thanked once more.
"No worries, brother!"
Taka smiled kindly.
"Just, with today's motive...I'm a lil' paranoid."
He grumbled.
Kiyotaka nodded understandably.
The boys got ready to sleep.
They shared a bed because they felt close enough too, both facing separate ways as they slept.
Though, Kiyotaka was feeling off that night, not that he was surprised.
He knew the motive would affect him, but it still was a shock.
He felt like he had a fever, and like he needed to cough.
He couldn't cough, it was late and he'd wake up Mondo.
He just had to suck it up.
Though; he couldn't.
His throat felt dryer and dryer by the moment.
He couldn't hold it in, he let out a raspy coughing fit.
Though; Mondo wasn't asleep.
He heard Taka's coughing, and immediately knew...
He was affected by the motive.
He didn't interfere until he felt Taka sit up, now coughing into his hands even worse.
"Dude...you okay?"
He slowly got up, and reached for the boy's shoulder.
Taka turned around to see bloody mouth, red-shot eyes filled with tears.
"Oh god-!! Are you okay-?!?!"
Mondo was frantic.
Taka couldn't respond, he just kept coughing.
Once he finally stopped, a three lavender petals fell into his hands.
"I'm...fine..."
Taka finally whispered.
"No you're not-! Oh god..this is the motive..."
Mondo was panicked, unsure what to do.
Mondo took Taka into the bathroom so the man could continue his coughing into the toilet.
Mondo felt horrible, the disease was going to be worse then he thought.
"Ow.."
The prefect whispered once he was done.
"Yeah...yeah I know."
Mondo gently rubbed his back.
"I hate to ask but- who's the lucky woman?"
Mondo chuckled.
Kiyotaka was silent.
"Never expected the up-tight prefect to fall head over heels."
The biker continued, trying to relief the boy.
"So who? The goth lolita gambler? Detective girl?"
Taka's fist clenched.
"It's not a girl."
Was all the boy replyed with.
"Oh-!"
Mondo immediately shut up.
"So a lucky man? Cool! Is it the luck kid? Hopefully not the rich axxhole. I mean nothing against ya if it is- it's your dating life."
Mondo kept rambling.
"I'm..too afraid to tell you..."
Kiyotaka whispered.
"Understandable! But let's try and get you stable, cmon."
Mondo led the boy back into the form and layed him down.
"Want me to get you some water from the warehouse?"
Mondo suggested.
"It would...be nice. But it's late; don't go out in this lateness."
The prefect assured.
"Nah, it's chill."
Mondo replyed.
"I'm just...scared. I feel like I should tell him but..I'm...afraid of ruining things..."
Kiyotaka mentioned.
"You wouldn't ruin anything! If the man doesn't feel the same, fuxk him to hell. We're likely to spend our last moments here so everything is 'fuxk it' you know?"
Mondo tried to be calming.
"Hey, I know how stressful it is to like someone...dont let me rush you."
He put his hand on the boy's back.
"I just...Mondo you don't understand...he's- he's-"
Taka's eyes began to water.
"Hey it's okay.."
Mondo whispered.
"He's...you.."
Taka finally let out.
Mondo immediately moved his hand from Taka's back.
The prefect began silently sobbing into his hands.
Mondo looked down, trying to process this.
Kiyotaka confessed his love to him;
Mondo couldn't believe it!
Someone he loved...loved him back???
He pulled Taka into an aggressive hug.
"I...love ya too.."
He murmured.
That just made Taka cry even more into the boy's shoulder.
Mondo gently rubbed the prefect's back, whispering sweet nothingness into his ear.
"Let me get you your water."
He finally chuckled.
"Okay.."
Taka sniffled.
"Hey, it's okay man. Things are going to be okay."
The biker said.
"Trust me, I'll get us out of here. A man's promise."
Mondo grabbed Taka's hand and held it, making eye contact.
"Alright..."
Kiyotaka nodded his head.
Mondo got up and left the dorm room.
He went down the hallway before calling out for Monokuma.
"Phu phu phu~! May I help you?"
He laughed.
"Let's make a deal."
Mondo crouched down to make eye level.
"If I graduate this motive, I get to take someone of my choice with me,"
Mondo began.
"And I'll kill as many students necessary."
Monokuma's eyes widened.
"Wow! A very large deal!"
Monokuma thought for a moment.
"Kill two students! And we have a deal."
The best agreed.
"Alright, chill."
Mondo stood up straight.
"And since I'm feeling nice, I'll help you a little!"
Monokuma prompted.
"Alright, even perfect."
Mondo smiled.
The boy and bear both walked down towards the dining hall while making plans.
Mondo knew what he had to do to save him and Kiyotaka.

It was a man's promise.
