Nat went into the vents and we followed Ms Petrov out. She walked along the hallways greeting the guards. This was very exciting. I was going to escape this place, with Yelena. I hope. I didn't really know what was beyond this huge metal compound. It seemed dangerous but whatever it was it was still going to be an adventure.

"Now, we're going to walk in this door. I need you to be silent. Is that clear?" Ms Petrov asked. Yelena and I nodded. Now we were at the Ms Petrov door. It was where all the fishy business happened.

Ms Petrov opened the door. All the doctors stopped and stared at her. She nodded and they continued their work. Man, the respect they had for her. The atmosphere in the room was tense. I didn't dare to look around. I just looked straight ahead. The lights in the room were hurting my eyes. The room smelled like rubbing alcohol.

We walked towards the room where she interviewed us about nat. We got in and she closed the door. She went to the right side of the room and pressed her hand against the wall. Suddenly the walls opened and there was another door. She tapped her duplicate keycard and lead us in. Now, we were in the kitchen.
So this is what the 'freezer' was. She led us outside.
"Why couldn't we have just walked into the kitchen?" Yelena asked.
"The guards." replied Ms Petrov
"But when I had to go the kitchen in order to use the vents to get your keycard, there were no guards." I asked confused.

"Look, I knew your plan all along. I made sure the guards weren't there. After all, I'm their boss."Ms Petrov replied in a sassy tone.
Ms Petrov opened the vents. I remembered the amount of time I had to use this vent. I was really grateful for it. Thank you, vent.

We went through the vents and got out in a place I had never seen before. There were huge metal doors and the words red room were plastered across it. The vents opened again and Nat got out. We were about to walk towards the doors when we suddenly heard something behind us. We turned around to face four doctors with guns facing us.
"This is what the red room has been training you for." Ms Petrov said smirking.

Yelena, Nat and Ms Petrov started fighting with the men. I see the man in front of me and immediately grab the gun he's holding with my right hand and twist his arm. I kick the guy's stomach with my left leg using a great amount of force. He falls to the ground but before I could grab the gun he pulled me down by my hair. I was now on top of him. He was really bad at this. He had just helped me.
"I think you should just stick to being a doctor." I said before punching him about 3 times on his face. I got up and took the gun. I pointed it at his face.  "Stay down." I said. I don't think he heard me. He wasn't moving. I looked at my sisters and they gave me a proud smile. We were 30 metres from the door.

"On the right, there's a guard." Ms Petrov said peeking at the door.
Nat nods and sneaks up behind the guard. "I don't have much time so let's make this quick. Let us out and you live." she said.

The guard turned around and hastily reached for his gun but Nat quickly covered his mouth with a cloth and he slowly passed out. "It had to be this way."
Nat signalled for us to follow. Yelena went to the computer in front of the guard. She typed something in and the doors opened.

The light was brighter than the lights in Ms Petrov's  room combined. I was ecstatic. The moment I had been anticipating was finally here. It was the complete opposite of the red room. There was colour everywhere. Beautiful evergreen trees and eye appealing flowers in all forms were surrounding the compound. The contrast between the two areas was shocking. The buzz of vehicles going back and forth on the roads nearby was the only distinct sound I could hear along with yelena's cheering, of course.  The view was absolutely spectacular. I took a deep breath and smiled feeling the cool breeze against my face. I didn't know the outside could be this beautiful. I just knew one thing, I was finally free
