Alec falls for clary

Chapter 9

CLARY
I turn on the tv and we start watching 'if i stay' even though I've made Alec sit and watch this movie a bunch i still watch it. Jace moves closer to me and puts his arm around me. I rest my head on his shoulder, it's somewhat comforting to just sit here with him. just then the institute door opens, i jump up and see alec with a hurt look on his face "you didn't even call and tell me my brother was home"? He whispers, "what was so important that you had to keep this a secret, were you cheating on me with him" he asks bitterly. My eyes widen in shock, that's what he thinks? I cheated?
