I ate quickly and didn't say much. I finished my glass of wine and had another. I drank my water and just watched him for a bit. I hoped I was making his birthday special enough for him. The past few weeks have been so crazy. Between moving and his clinic, I didn't want the special day to be forgotten.

I stopped what I was doing for a moment and just watched and felt. I still had to focus to pick things up on occasion. I tilted my head sideways and just watched her eyes. "What is with you?"

I smiled at him. "What do you mean?" I am sure he was picking up on my nerves. I had to play this much cooler than I was.

"You know what I mean." I sighed and set down my fork. I had eaten my salmon and about a quarter of my potato, I was done. "What is up with you? You feel like a ball of stress, you're taking phone calls and leaving rooms when your phone rings. If I were a less secure guy when it comes down to the two of us I might be worried. Whatever it is. You know it will turn out fine, just fine. Always does."

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for a minute. "I am sure it will. I think I am still getting used to the house." That sounded logical. To me at least. "So what's on the agenda for the rest of the evening?"

"You, changing the subject. I like the house. It's odd owning one, but I like it a lot. Maybe one day we'll need a bigger one, who knows. It sure is better than the cramped up way we were living."

"You are not wrong. I love the space and it's ours. All ours." I smiled and giggled a little. Then a serious thought crossed my mind. "How long do we plan on staying in the city though?" He rolled with the subject change just fine. I started to yawn and stretch. I wasn't done changing the subject. I gave him a dreamy little smile. "Wanna play a little, sir? We still have a lot of spaces to christen."

"Ha ha ha, you're funny, little lady. Nice one. Yes, the house is lovely. I don't know. I'm not a city boy. The house was thoroughly cleansed, it should feel comforting. I am comfortable. You were comfortable. I won't pry. Just worried. We're good, yeah?"

"Mmm. We're good. Sorry that you are worried. I love you. I love all of this." I sighed and took my dishes to the kitchen. Just a couple more days and everything would be back to normal. Snap out of this Lizzie. I moved back to him and rubbed his neck and shoulders. "So, about that play?"

I had scooted my chair out so there would be room enough for her between me and the table. I allowed my body to relax for a moment as I closed my eyes and gave in to the warm comforting touches she gave me. After a while, I took her hand and pulled her around to sit on my lap. "Now, that depends. What did you have in mind?"

I sighed and straddled his lap. I twirled his hair in my fingers after I slipped my arms around his neck. I bit my lip and thought for a minute. "I mean, the table is pretty strong and these chairs are very sturdy. I also think the couch is soft. Are you feeling naughty or nice?" I practically purred the question.

"Neither one overwhelmingly. I'm leaning more towards warm and gentle. You?"

"I like warm and gentle." I leaned in, kissed him softly, and met his eyes. Just being close to him had me feeling more calm and collected. "I like whatever you like. I am yours completely tonight. However, you want me."

"Hmm. Then let's just do this for a while." I smiled as she kissed me and kissed her back just as tenderly. I knew I would be moved to change things up on us eventually, or she would but that didn't matter much at that moment. I let my hands wander slowly over her back as I got completely lost in sharing calm quiet kisses with her in our dining room. "I love you, Lizzie."

His kisses left me breathless and his hands made my skin tingle. I felt like this could last forever or until one of us couldn't take it anymore. "I love you too. Avi. So much." It came out breathy and dreamy.

"Good." I smiled and kissed her just a little hungrier. I pulled her body to mine and fought to remember how to breathe as I broke the kiss and then dove right back in again. "I missed this part of us."

"Mmm hmm." I tugged on his hair and melted into his arms. I think we were breathing for each other at this point. I moaned his name when I had the chance. My skin was hot and I felt like I was on fire. "Please."

"Mmm. Patience." I whispered against her lips as I slipped my hands into her shirt and up her back. "Patience." I was losing mine quickly but it never hurt to try.

It would be hard, but I was willing to try. I inadvertently rocked my hips into his as I tried to get closer to him. I whined a little and bit at his lips.

"Oh," I bit her lip almost a bit too hard. "Sorry," I whispered and pulled her down against me. The kisses we shared degraded quickly from quiet and loving to needy and hungry for more in an instant. I didn't hesitate to take the hem of her shirt and start pulling it over her head. It was in my way. If she didn't get mine off it was next because it was between us. I growled as quietly as my desire would let me. The table would do just fine.

I yelped quietly at the bite, but it didn't really phase me. His growl made me shiver and goosebumps erupted on my skin. I lifted my hands over my head so he could pull my shirt off. Once it was out of the way, my fingers found the buttons of his and I wasted no time in getting them undone. I slid my hands inside and pushed the shirt off of his shoulders.

I growled again and worked her bra off her body. I let my eyes roam for just a moment before I took her breast one in each hand and set about making her make the sounds I love with my fingers and tongue.

I was putty in his hands. Every touch sent currents of electricity to my most sensitive parts. His name fell liberally from my lips in every form I knew. When it wasn't his name it was a litany of incoherent moans. I arched my back, pressing myself closer to him. I wanted to leave control squarely in his hands, but my body needed his.
