destiny's pov
"I'm gonna throw up, i'm actually gonna throw up." I say
"Dess it's not that bad, what's the worst thing that can happen to you?" Jaslyne asks.
"I slip in the cafeteria and everybody laughs, or here's this someone asks me out only for it to be a joke? And then all his jock friends will laugh at me?" I stare at her through my phone.
"I have no words." Jaslyne puts her hands up in defense.
"Good. When are you gonna get there, I do not wanna be alone especially on the first day." I say.
"I might get there late if I'm being honest." She smiles at me, knowing i'm gonna freak.
"You're kidding right?" I laugh in a confused way.
"Wish I wasn't" She smiles.
"I'm not going. I don't care if I get in trouble but i'm not going alone on the first day, second day everything goes back to normal."
"Dess you need to go because then I won't have anyone at lunch" She stresses.
"How about I just go late too then?" I say.
"How about you just go with your brother and make a new friend while you wait for me" She smiles.
"You're hilarious. Me? Find a new friend? I can barely order food by myself." I put on my backpack.
"New school year new you!" She shrugs.
"No." I shake my head.
"Dess let's go!" Aaron shouts.
"Bye jas, I guess i'm gonna go throw up in the bathroom" I sigh.
"Bye dess" She laughs.
I hang up and put my phone in my back pocket.
"Destiny!" Aaron yells again.
"I'm going I'm going!" I run down the stairs.
"Grab my keys for me please" He motions to where they are. I grab them from the counter and follow after him.
We get in the car and put our seatbelts on.
Aaron starts the car, or should I say tries to. He tries once again but no luck. He looks at me with wide eyes. He gets out and I repeat the action.
"What's wrong with it?" I ask.
"Probably ran out of battery, fuck." He rubs his face. He turns to look over at Vinnies house. He starts walking over there so I follow him.
"Vinnie!" He jogs to him. I follow him but I do not jog, I walk.
"Hey, what's up?" Vinnie asks.
"Car won't turn on, you mind giving us a ride?" Aaron asks. Vinnie only nods. We get into his car, Aaron in the passenger seat and me right behind him.
