destiny's pov
The dismissal bell rings and my head jolts up, startled.
I look around seeing everyone packing up and leaving. I hurriedly start packing up as well, not wanting to be the last one out. Jaslyn bolts out of the classroom as fast as she can. I mentally roll my eyes.
"Dess!" Emily says as she smiles at me. "I have cheer practice right now so I can't go to the mall after all, but do you want me to ask Vinnie to give you a ride?" She smiles.
"No, I'm fine Emily, but thank you!" I force a smile. Not that I didn't appreciate her trying to help, it was just a bad day.
"Okay, bye dess!" She waves while walking out of the class.
So much for not wanting to be the last one out. I sigh and walk out of the class. I put in my AirPods and begin walking home. Honestly, I loved walking home, it's so calming. It's like a fairy tail until I get unfortunately get home. Although, sometimes I get the urge to stand in front of a running car, so that's not very peaceful.

I decided to not go home, at least not yet. So, here I am at the lake sitting on a rock. Hopefully I don't fall in. I cringe at the thought.
The sudden urge to go further down the lake hits my mind, so I listen to it. I walk further down the lake. Trees mountains and water are all around me, it feels nice to be surrounded by nature. Maybe that's cliche, but that's alright.
I sit down on the dirt, not caring to get my clothes dirty. I take in the view for a few minutes before my phone rings.

"Destiny." Aaron says in an unamused tone.
"Yes?" I say all too cheerfully.
"Why the fuck are you at a lake?" He asks.
"Because I can be." I tease.
"We're on our way."
And with that he hangs up. I laugh to myself.

"Destiny!" Aaron shouts. I look over and see all 3 of them in Vinnie's car. I walk over.
"Well hello guys, what a surprise!" I say sarcastically.
"Get in Destiny." Aaron rubs his head. I get in the car and we go to the nearest store, Shop n leave. I furrow my brows at the name, owner must be a grumpy man.
"Why are we even here?" I furrow my brows.
"Sleepover!" Emily puts her arm over my shoulder.
"Mom allowed this?" I ask Aaron.
"Mom's not home" He grins.
"What do you mean?" I say confused.
"She's on a business trip till like next week" He shrugs and so do I.
"What are you guys gonna get?" I ask curiously.
"Some earplugs so I don't have to hear you." Vinnie grins. I glare at him. I grab the nearest bag of chips, and throw them at him. I see Emily and Aaron laughing while pushing the cart.
"What are we even doing?" I ask Aaron.
"Watching a movie and eating snacks, get whatever you want" He smiles.
"I'm good, I'm full." I smile back at him.
"Wow you ate all the bugs at the lake or what?" Vinnie chimes in.
"Yeah Vinnie I ran after them and caught them with my tongue" I roll my eyes. He laughs a bit at my sarcasm and honestly, I can't tell if that makes me feel good or annoyed.
We walk through all the aisles of the store, occasionally putting some snacks in the shopping cart.
We head to the checkout line, there were 2 other people waiting in line before us.
"What time is it?" I ask everyone.
"7:02" Aaron responds, putting his phone back in his pocket.
"And we're just going straight home after this?" I ask him.
"Yeah I guess" Aaron shrugs. I nod at his response.
"What movie are we gonna watch?" I ask another question. Everyone begins thinking.
"Scream?" Aaron asks. I look around to see Emily and Vinnie nodding at the idea, so I do the same.
We finish checking out and head back to the car. The sun was beginning to set, which made the view so much more beautiful.

We all got off the car and carried the bags of snacks into the house. Emily and Vinnie begin unpacking the snacks while Aaron and I grab some blankets and pillows from our rooms.
I go down to the living room and place all the pillows and blankets down on the floor.
"Dess can you look for the movie?" Aaron hands me the control. I nod a begin looking for Scream, the original one.
"Let me know when to press play" I place the control back down, looking back at them getting all their snacks ready.
They all rush over to the floor, Aaron sits by me, then Vinnie sits by him, and Emily sits by Vinnie. I pick up the control and press play.
"Dess, you sure you don't want a snack?" Aaron asks me.
"No I'm fine, but thanks!" I smile at him. He nods and turns his attention back to the movie. Even though the movie was only beginning, I could feel myself getting a little tired. I layed down instead of sitting up, and began to close my eyes.
