Diana's POV

Around 4 p.m. on August 13th, Caius and I made our way to the Cullens' house. I was dressed in a deep silver silk slip dress with matching heels. I had a pair of diamond earrings dangling from my ears while my signature Volturi necklace was around my neck.

My hair was curled perfectly while my face was free of make-up, all except a small amount of mascara and lip gloss. My red eyes were covered by dark brown contacts, hiding my true nature from the humans.

Caius was dressed in an all-black suit with sleek black shoes, his Volturi necklace complementing the look. In order to hide his red eyes, he wore light blue contacts, pairing well with his perfectly styled platinum blonde hair.

When we arrived at the residence, a few guests were already there, mingling with the others. I noticed Charlie among the crowd so I grabbed Caius' hand and pulled him over.

"Dad!" I yelled, getting his attention. I let go of Caius' hand and pulled him into a hug.

"Ana!" he hugged me back. When he pulled back, he looked at my outfit, "You look wonderful, sweety."

"Thanks, Dad," I smiled, I looked him over, "Dang, you look hot," I teased with a smirk

He laughed, "Makes me look younger, don't you think?"

"Definitely," I nodded with a smiled

The sound of Caius clearing his throat brought our attention to him. I walked over to his, allowing him to put his hand in mine. I dragged him closer to my father.

"Dad," I began, "I would like you to meet my husband, Caius Volturi." I looked to Caius, "Caius, I want you to meet my father, Charlie Swan."

"Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Swan," Caius shook his hand. Charlie replied, "The pleasure is mine."

When I first told Charlie about my marriage, he was shocked and a little sad that I didn't tell him so that he could have walked me down the aisle.

Flashback

I was sitting on the couch, watching a baseball game with my father. Alec, Jane, Demetri, and Felix left the house so that we could have bonding time.

Halfway through the game, I finally decided to tell him that I recently got married. When the commercial finally came on, I spoke, "Dad, there's something I need to tell you."

He nodded and looked at me expectantly, "Go on."

"I got married less than a month ago," I rushed out. I waited, holding my breath, even though I technically don't need to breathe.

He sat there in shock for a few minutes before speaking, "You got married?" he said slowly. I nodded and he continued, "You didn't think to tell me? What's his name? How did you meet?"

"I know, I'm sorry but we eloped and it really wasn't a big wedding," I lied, "I met him one day when I went to Florence, Italy. We just ran into each other and things just clicked. We have been dating for years and finally decided to get married. His name is Caius."

"Okay," he nodded slowly, "You didn't want me to be there?"

"Of course, I did!" I exclaimed, "I wanted you to be there but it was a spur of the moment type thing. I would have loved for you to have been there!"

He spent the rest of the night asking me questions about Caius and the marriage. He asked about Italy and about my education. The game we were watching just faded into the background.

End of Flashback

Charlie continued to question Caius, making sure he was good enough for his "princess." A half an hour passed by and we were now admiring the Cullens' graduation cap art. Charlie was staring at it in confusion while Caius and I looked amused.
